Analog Game Consol conroler button?

First off, I'm not great w/ electronics, but I am interested in this idea. The analog controllers for PS2/Game cube etc sense differentiated pressures and output varied outputs. Correct? I was wondering if they could be used as an e-cig button which would allow you to control the output voltage to the atty. I could send a controller to some qualified individuall, if they think they cn handle the challenge. The only thing I ask is to make me one too(even if it's fugly lol).

Even better, make the whole controller into an ecig! I would be very happy vaping out of a PS3 controller or even better a wiimote

the wiimote would be the best option , as they already have inductive charging built in. no connectors etc to worry about , just set it on the base , and youre charging.

you would probably have to use one of the variable voltage mod circuits , with the joystick/button controlling the output resistor.


if i remember correctly , most analog sticks are really high impedance , so i dont believe you could just use a 5v battery and that stick...

although it would be neat to make something using a BASIC stamp and a wiimote , where up on the stick would control one thing , and the other three directions would control other things...

the straight buttons are usually not that sensitive , and require a very light touch for anything less than full on. the mini-joystick would probably be "moar variable"

believe me i wish i could... of all the mods i have ever thought of , the quiVape (weeV4pe?) would be my fave...

think of all the batteries you could fit in that thing...as a side note , i looked at the wiimote as a base bfore , and there were some very high MAH batteries to be had

please someone do it... with built in charging..
