OMG, I think I am officially a vaper for life. Now well into my first full day of vaping (been smoke free since 3pm yesterday)!

I am enamored with my Joye 510. This thing is the best invention since sliced bread to me, hands down.

HOWEVER, I did speak last night of how the batteries were holding up well... not anymore. I vaped like a madman today at work and even with one on constant charge (I'm an office employee at the moment, but, like I've said previously, I'll soon be a prison guard... what a change), so these batteries just aren't gonna cut it. I'm very intrigued by the Bartleby, as I could still use my 510 atties with it, but even the battery life on it is said to be 4 hours? I'm gonna need something that is going to last a LONG time, 8-10 hours (or longer).

I'm seriously thinking of picking up a Bartleby for home and (for now) work use, but I'm not sure if I would want to use it in public due to the insane amounts of vapor it produces.

But, bringing back the subject of battery life, I need something that will last and give consistent vapes, because I am seriously hanging on this stuff right now. If I can't find something to hold up after the job switch, I'll probably go back to analogs, and I DO NOT want to!

And, for the matter, would a 510 PCC do just as well in terms of battery life as oppossed to a mod?

Note: Still awaiting my 901, but it's definitely got some strong opposition when it does arrive. :D

THe batteries are OK to me, but again I am a light smoker. on a day when I smoke a LOT, its 8 cigs... usually its 4 or 5 ... the two batteries have held up OK here... sounds like you need a car battery or something :)

Seriously, I have no idea aboust any of that, as I am content with mine 'stock' .. maybe you should try a new post for it?

Hope the 901 works well too!

LOL. Car battery... hm... I bet THAT would make a lot of vapor! LOL.

Yeah, this post seems to be losing interest for people. I shall make a new post asking my questions.

Keep on vaping. :D

BTW, what kind of juice you using?

The PCC for the 510 is great. It'll help you out a lot. It will charge a 510 battery about 4 times. If you're a heavy vaper and go through a 510 battery in an hour (like I did) then you'll find you're pulling a charged battery out of it just in time to put in another one.

I've had a Bartleby, and it works great. I've also used one of Cybervex's box mods which is the same thing as a Bartleby without the USB charger and LED lights, and they're great, too. Vaping on one now, actually. It's a great introduction to battery mod vaping, and a battery charge lasts me about 4 hours.

I CAN'T BELIEVE you didn't mention a Chuck in your reply. :p

Which would've been fine by me, because I really don't even know what a Chuck is. Care to enlighten me? Is it a higher voltage mod?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Cybervex is also the creator of the Bartleby, right? Why would one want a "box mod" without the LEDs and USB charger?

But, roughly, a PCC and a Bartleby/box mod both last 4 hours? Ugh... I need something more powerful. Like Mitchell suggested above, perhaps I should strap a car battery on my back and rig it up to a passthrough? :D

Hehe, well I can mention a Chuck if you'd like. Besides being customizable to suit your tastes, it vapes like a champ, takes a beating, and a single battery charge will last you two full days. There are also a lot of really great mods out there that folks swear by, but I haven't had a chance to experience them myself... yet. :D

I mentioned the Bartleby and box mod because of the interest you showed in a previous post. Both are great mods. I like the box mod better simply because I have a battery charger for the batteries, and don't like to be tied to a USB cable for charging my batteries. But that's my personal preference. I also am not a fan of LEDs in general, because I stealth vape at work, and LEDs attract attention. :)

Hope that helps. If you have more questions, let us know!

Agh. I've heard nothing but bad things about the Amazon cigs... haha.

You not liking Green Smoke surprises me, especially considering it's ridiculous price tag. I'm not familiar at all with Bloog.

I just took the plunge last night and bought the 901, but didn't order any of the extra stuff I mentioned earlier, just the starter kit, an extra atomizer, and the sample pack of juice from Vapor Country. Leaford just insists in several videos that the 901 is the absolute best choice for a new vaper, and will let you know what you like and dislike about it to further upgrade from there. It's cheap, so it'll be a good intro to vaping for me.

I thank you for your suggestions, and, knowing me, I'll probably end up with the 510 and the 808D eventually. LOL. :)

Louisville, huh? Neat. Cards fan? or Cats fan? :D

Oh, so it sounds like you bought them all, huh? :p

The 902 sounds intriguing. I'll keep all these recommendations in mind if
or when I'm ready to move on from the 901, but what do I really have to compare it to besides an analog? Anything will be better than coughing my head off and stinking all the time. :thumb:

The 901 is a good unit, the one thing that is a major must for you is at least 1 more battery or a pcc your choice. If you only have 2 batteries I guarantee you are going to have times with no charged batteries. Camel and menthol is a good mix IMO and I never liked menthol. Dont get your heart set on replicating an exact flavor cig but it wont take long 4 u to realize these taste way better than analogs.

Whoa... hold the phone a sec. Did you say TWO FULL DAYS?!?!?!?! 8-o

MY GOD!

LOL. What kind of battery does this thing have? And... how much does it cost? :p

I might be wrong, but a Chuck is very similar in style and function to a Prodigy?

But, regardless of cost, this is the type of thing I'm gonna have to get. I don't wanna be walking around a prison yard with a pocket full of 510 batteries. All that would be weighing me down, ya know.

I know you're a big fan of your Chuck, so I figured you could give me some good reviews based on your experience. Color me intrigued.

LOL. I would definitely agree, at least in regards to the 510 batts I'm using right now. At least I will have two diff. units to switch between after the 901 arrives. :D

But indeed. I have Camule and Menthale flavors from nHaler, and neither of them are anything like their namesake. Camule tastes really strange, like liquor perhaps, but that is what I'm vaping at the moment. Menthale tastes exactly like Wrigley's Doublemint Gum, and I hated it at first, but I've grown to like it after my 2nd day of vaping. Cafe Mocha Tobacco is still my favorite of the 3 nHaler juices I have tried. The Marlboro cartridges that came with the 510 taste like... pardon my French... .... But I hate Marlboro analogs, so that didn't really surprise me.

The Chuck (or Little Chuck) costs $80 shipped (in the US). It takes 18650 batteries, which you can get for somewhere around $7 each. (Or RCR123A batteries for 6v vaping which are similarly inexpensive). You can take a look at the Chucks at thagbuilt.com.

The Chuck can be used at 3.7v or 6v, depending on the batteries you use. It's just a big battery case with a manual switch, much like a 510 battery on steroids.

But, regardless of cost, this is the type of thing I'm gonna have to get. I don't wanna be walking around a prison yard with a pocket full of 510 batteries. All that would be weighing me down, ya know.

I do like my Chuck a lot, but that won't stop me from getting other mods for different reasons. If I had the cash, I would buy at least one of each.

Oh, forgot to mention... an 18650 3000mAh battery in a mod lasts at least two full days... that is if you are a heavy vaper like me. A light vaper can get almost 4 days out of one.

Umm .. Intellicig ECOpure Rich tobacco flavor .. it is prety good for me -- I am not really picky -- but there is a sweetness to it I wish was not there.

Read a few places about Moca of Coffee or some other flavor of that type people like. I certainly am not into sweet stuff and menthol always sorta bugged me ...

Right now its just good to not be smoking cigs, and instead just taking puff or two off this one when I feel the need. It is getting the job done, haven't bought smokes in almost a week.

Also I still have 3 full carts left of what the kit came with -- I have just been adding the juice to the ones that have expired -- and I liked them a lot. Might just order more carts...

Cool. I have a little sweet tooth myself, so you might not like the Cafe Mocha very much... it tastes just like it sounds... chocolate coffee... LOL.

It's much cheaper to buy juice and refill the carts, but it is sort of messy and annoying.

Ohhh haaiiii coffee!!

LOL. It's good stuff.

Wow LOOOOOONG THREAD.....
Good for you Camel Crush....Hope you enjoy vaping as much as we all do here on ecf...
Let us know how you like your 901 when it arrives....
I started out with a 510 and never looked back...........

Haha. Yes, it is a LONG thread.

Well, actually, my 901 arrived today, along with my sampler juice pack from Vapor Country. I pop it open, put a cart on, give it a good draw... and get juice ALL IN my mouth. How lame.

I didn't care much for the 901, personally. It produced awesome vapor, and good taste, but the draw on it is MUCH harder than my 510. See? If I didn't have the 510, I would've loved it. LOL.

But, all is well. I planned on keeping it for a backup, but one of my co-workers was so enamored by my vaping that he bought the 901 from me. My first convert! :D

I was impressed with the battery life of the 901, though. My friend puffed on that thing all day today without even charging the battery and it lasted him a good 5 hours. It was still going strong when we left work today.

The 901 is a bit longer, and a bit heavier, than the 510. Bigger battery, and a bit larger cart. MUCH larger atomizer. Don't know if that really makes a difference, but I'll stick with my 510 for now.

As far as Vapor Country's liquid goes, I sold him the banana and the coffee, which are both pretty good, especially the banana. But pineapple is by far my favorite of those I've tried so far.

But anyway. It's time for me to order some RY4 and spare atomizers for my 510 from nHaler. Still on the hunt for a battery upgrade (mod), but I think I'll make a new thread for that purpose. This one has now ran it's course, I do believe.

Much thanks to all the helpful contributors! :thumb:

Wow, fun for me to read a good long noob thread, as I'm such a noob. I've been vaping two weeks now and haven't touched an analog since the first puff. I started with a crap model, but adjusted quickly to get a 510 as soon as I found this board.

On your topic, I was also bummed about the batter life. I got a pcc, and all kinds of chargers, and yes I can keep batteries charging all over the place, but what a pain.

I picked up a two bartlebys last week, and I haven't touched a 510 batter since. I get a day, at least, out of a charge. They come with two batteries, and the unit has a USB charger built in and works as a passthrough. Very slick. In my noobish opinion, you won't be disappointed.

It's been pointed out to me by a friend taht the bartleby is a version of a simple mod that can be found on the modders forum. I hear that, but I'm not handy and found a well-built model to be just what I needed.

Enjoy youfself, and thanks for the good read.

So glad you enjoyed it! :D

I learned a lot in this thread. I'll probably go back and read it soon.

It won't be long before I get myself a Bartleby, I'd say. I could PROBABLY build one myself, if I wanted to badly enough... but still.

Sorry, I just saw your reply.

I will look around a bit, but the Chuck sounds like exactly I am looking for. Is there really any difference between the majority of the mods, besides appearance? It seems to me they are all mostly designed with the same concept in mind.

I do like the fact that it is capable of different voltages. Saves me from buying something else later if I wanted to upgrade to HV.

Where can one find the batteries to fit this thing? And do I need to get a gasoline generator to charge it? LOL. :p

$80 sounds like a very reasonable cost to me, but I will heed your advice and look around a bit before purchasing. :)
