After having two 510 batteries fry on the same day, the third fried in one day and the newest one worked for a minute or two when fully charged, then started blinking like it was drained. When plugged back into the charger, the charger shows the battery as "charged," and the battery blinks then goes off. But when the atty is attached, it doesn't work.

I'm guessing I have a bad charger. :-(

Are you buying real Joye batteries? And manuals (since autos are more prone to getting killed by juice drips)?

Did you check for any juice in your charger connection?

Are you using an AC to USB adapter of appropriate mA (one-battery ones are usually 500mA = 1/2 amp)

If you are getting good manual batteries I would try replacing the AC to USB and the charger cord

You're not using LR attys on them are you? I head that can kill standard batteries - the power draw is too much for the switches etc inside

I recently brought two kits together, an auto and a manual.
One charger only worked for a few days and began to fail, the other is good.
One battery on the auto has failed and the other doesnt hold charge for longer than 2 hours use and one atomiser is failing now.
I guess they are not of good enough quality for heavy use and you get what you pay for in the long run.
I am upgrading, I was going to buy the Riva but a previous poster mentioned that the same is happening with her Riva so I had better revise my shopping cart lol'
What to buy...what to buy...perhaps the Ego ?
I'm going with the Leo, wish me luck !

I think the wall to usb chargers are all just generic-made pieces of junk. Mine died on me after about two weeks of use. It seems a dead atomizer (as in, brand new, never used, and didn't work) will cause an ego battery to flash five times, the same way a bad charger will.

So, try using an atomizer that you know will work to test your batteries, it seems odd that you would have 3 go out so close together. I picked up a Belkin wall mounted usb charger, similar to the ones that come with cellphones, and plug my usb cable into that. Hopefully it'll last me a while, and I have a spare wall charger and usb cable just in case.

I'm learning that a spare EVERYTHING is a good thing, was tempted to buy a pack of cigarettes when my first charger died.

I used a brand-new atty with the brand-new battery after it had charged fully. It worked for a minute or two, then stopped. It blinks 11 times when I press the button and it is disconnected from the atty and charger. When I screw it into the charger, it blinks five times and the charger light is still green. The battery I bought prior to that lasted a few days; same deal. Gotta be the charger, I guess.

I bought both EM Riva batteries from Liberty Flights, who have been of zero help customer service wise.

I am sorry you are having issues with liberty flights, I have has then in the last two months replace four batteries. I wouldn't call them send them e-mails they will respond I swear. I also know you can PM ABE who is a member here and he will be happy to help you. Their batteries are under warranty for 6 months

I take your word for it, but I've had no luck with them and answering my e-mails, but I will try again.

I haven't lost a battery YET, but the problems I have had with chargers was caused by the wall wart. Opened the one that was giving me problems and the wall charger had some melted junk in it. Bought a new wall charger and every thing is now working fine. Got the charger from MadVaps-the 2amp charger. Guessing that for the kits, alot of cheap parts are made and it maybe best to stay away from those parts and spend a little more to get better parts.

nozmoking - some batteries have cutoffs if you drag real long and then flash and prevent you from getting a drag until some countdown is off. Some batteries have a low as a 5-second cutoff - ie after 5 seconds of on it will cut-off and enter the cooldown. Some have as much as a 20-second drag allowed before cutoff. The amount of time it cuts off for could be anywhere from 10 to 90 seconds.

Also - someone on the forum was charging their PCC on their computer, got a normal static electricity on the computer and it killed their PCC. One more reason not to charge on a PC.

So whatever you get, keep those things in mind.
