I had a spare 18350 in my front pocket along with some loose change and an IPhone charging cable. The circuit was completed and I felt my leg burning as I was driving down the highway.

hmmm...

I have an 18350 battery that looks a little warped on the positive post side. It's only 2-3 weeks old. It still works and charges. Is this a sign of overheating and would you recommend I trash it. I use it in a ProVari mini if that makes any difference at all. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Yes, your 18350 battery is trash. Do not use that battery ever again. It's a high discharge battery gone bad.

Your change most likely could have nothing to do with it. Especially an iPhone cable. "magical circumstances."

Dispose of the battery properly.

YES, vape safely.
