First post so if you do not like seeing misspellings, bad sentence structure you might want to pass on any post you see I make. That said here goes:

Last Wednesday was a pretty good day. I stopped at a local ammo store to pick up a few rounds of 9mm. On the way back to the truck I notice the store a few doors down has a egic sign in the window. Been thinking of trying ecigs for different types flavors so decided to stop by to see what they had. Have never smoked so no interest in using nicotine.

Ended up walking out with a eleaf 2 and 2 flavors to try and an extra tank. So ended up with 2000 rounds of 9mm and a ecig I have wanted to try for quite some time. Yep, pretty good Wednesday.

Back story to this is the wife has been a smoker since before we got together and has been smoking ecigs for some time but always thought the type I just bought was silly as you have to load the juice instead of just screwing on a new tip.

Fast forward to Friday evening (if you are still with me). We are setting on the sofa watching the news and she says let me see that for a minute. (my eleaf). She take a few puffs and says I like that. So now she wants one. No problem, but I do realize this will start costing a lot more than I would like unless I start mixing our flavors, plus she wants nicotine.

Got on the internet and ordered a bunch of supplies for mixing, bunch of flavors and some PG and VG plus some with nicotine.

Most likely my first question out of many to come is: I don't see me (or hope I don't) do a mix and filling my tank to test then taking it apart and clean for a new test of new flavor, etc, etc.
So, what is the best way to test new mix's? My first thought is getting a tank I can rebuild easy to do the testing.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
Sorry to be so long winded.

You can start with this thread to have an idea of what some like Post Your DIY Tobacco Recipies Here Please. One way for the tasting is to get multiple low priced tanks for each flavor w/o nicotine for you since you don't smoke. It can become annoying otherwise... I know that some vape store offer juice testing but I don't know how they proceed.

Excellent question. This might help.
You could get a dripper.
With a tank, you are kind of stuck. Tanks are more portable and hold more juice than a dripper for the most part. That's basically the main advantage. If you want to change flavors with a tank, you may end up tossing juice.
With a dripper, you can quickly remove the wick and run water over the deck. Add a new wick providing the coil is pretty new, and pour the new juice in.
90% of the time I do not bother to clean and when old juice is gone in my dripper, I just add the new one to the wick and deck and vape away. It generally takes 15 min. or so to get a good feel for what a clean wick/deck would taste like. If the juice is to my liking, I then will clean out.
For vary mild or creams, this is harder to taste and justify. Coffees, tobac's, mint etc., strong flavors in general are more predictable.
If you want to vape (0 nic) to keep the wife company, I would go for it. If you live a smoggy area, I would think crossing the street is more hazardous to your health than 0 nic vaping.
If you have any additional questions just hit "like" at bottom right hand corner and I will get back to this thread.

You can wash out the tank and switch flavors if you like. I suggest a dripping atomizer for testing flavors. If you don't want to wind your own coils, your local shop can coil it for you. If you're careful, you can get a month or more of solid use out of a coil set. Then, when you want to change flavors, just pull out the old wicks and throw them away, dry burn the coils to get the gunk off, and wash the thing in some water, dry it off, pull in some new cotton (I use rayon) and drip on your new flavor.

Welcome! I bought my wife a Kanger subtank kit last week. She is really enjoying that set up. Have to get some dripping atty's for tasting juices, she just got a sample box of 10 in.

Want to thank everyone for you comments, welcome and suggestions. Gave me some good info and a places to start.

I like the idea of building the coil and wicks plus the use of a drip atty. Will go looking for
more supplies and equipment. I have a few good volt/ohm meters laying about but will be getting something dedicated to testing coils once installed. If anyone has a unit they like, please let me know, hate buying something that looks like it would work but find it is more trouble than not have one at all.

Thanks for warning weronk, but when you get my age you realize you better start doing some things you think you would enjoy.

Thanks again to everyone for the suggestions, links and welcome.

I eat way too much candy, love anything sweet. Finally decided to see if the sweet flavors would work for me using an ecig with no nicotine. The two I bought when I picked up the ijust2 that the sales person suggested had a sweet flavor. So far I like them but would go for a little stronger flavor. That is the reason for wanting to mix my own.

Have on order some licorice flavoring, if that comes close to the real flavor I'm in hook, line and sinker. Love the stuff.

Hi I'm also new guy in here. But I have been vaping for a few months. The suggestion what I can provide is that maybe you can use a RBA atomizer to test the mixed juice. You can ask a finished RBA atomizer from e cig stores if you don't know how to build the coil.
So you just need to add some drops of juice to test, few puffs later, when the juice run out of in the atomizer, then just change another mixed e juice. It's very convenient. Hope that can help you.
