So I went to oe of my regular vape shops yesterday. And what did I spy in the cabinet?? Yup a shiny P3 beta. Did I hold it??? Yup!!! Did I vape on it??? You bet I did. Did I like it??? Absolutely!!!

I didn't really play with it long because I was on a bit of a time crunch. This is definitely a Provari. Everything in the looks and feel. The display is very pleasing to the eye. But I did find the menu a bit cumbersome. I am sure once I had time to sit down and really play with it things would get easier and natural. Wish I had more time to explore it. The floating 510 pin feels kinda stiff but does what it was suppose to do. My KFL clone fit completely flush. The rings were a little awkward for me. I took the outer ring off and it was a bit tricky to get it threaded back on. But I can't really see the need to be taking it on and off. Button feels exactly like the previous Provari. If I closed my eyes I would have never known I was vaping on a P3. All in all it is a nice package that will please the masses.

And I got a bit of a surprise. Because they know me I was givin the opportunity to purchase one of their betas. Yup you heard that right. I had the chance to buy what will surely be a collectors piece. Unfortunately I didn't have the extra scratch or I would have been very tempted. But it is a standing offer.

well still not bad...considering this could be valuable one day being a limited run. If I didn't just buy a v2.5 last week I would buy it lol

Yeah if I had the extra cash I would get it just to have something not too many others would. Still would want a normal release with a warranty. But at least I know it will be there when I do have the $$$. It isn't going anywhere.

So, I got to play and vape on the P3 beta at my B&M. Somehow they didn't get the message that customers might come in and ask to try one. One of the guys who works there has had it as his personal device for a few days. But he graciously let me have it. And I have to admit I was VERY impressed. Here are my thoughts:

1. Build Quality: Just what you'd expect from a Provari. Feels great in my hands and everything screws in smoothly.

2. Menu System: I don't recall who posted in another thread that they thought it was awful, but I have to say I thought quite the opposite. The guy just handed me the device and I found the system to be quite intuitive and very simple to operate. I had to slow the screen down as I wanted to become familiar with the menu options, but they're easy to figure out, without a manual. The guy who was using it had it set to VW, and I quickly changed it to VV as I wanted to use the same setting I have on my 2.5. So, it was simple to switch to VV and set it to the same setting as I was using. Next, I wanted to see what the boost is all about. I was a little confused on this option, but I think I set the boost to about a second. I thought it interesting the P3 is a 3 click on as opposed to 5 click on with the 2.5. I liked that you can leave the screen on when you vape and look at your settings real time, or you can turn the screen off completely. And I liked that you can choose from a number of colors for the button, plus there's an option to let the device rotate through the colors with each push. That's kind of gimmicky, as I don't want my button to glow pink - EVER, but someone else might like pink. LOL

3. The Vape: Typically great Provari, but that boost, man that boost. It works. It works great. The flavor and vapor on my Nautilus Aspire, running BVC coils was even better.

4. My Verdict: A great device and now I want it even more than just from what I've read. I'm not a sub-ohmer, so I don't care if it's limited to 20 watts. That's more than enough power for the way I vape and then some. SO:

COME ON PROVAPE. RELEASE THESE THINGS ALREADY!!

My guess is it will go for $225 - $250. Just a guess from a marketing standpoint.

The general manager of the vape shop that I frequent said he heard it will sell for the same price as the current 2.5 Provari's, and those will have a drop in price. Until Provape announces the prices for both, its all guesswork. Maybe Provape doesn't know yet.

Provape has already said the P3 will be priced higher than the 2.5 and the 2.5 price is not being lowered at this time.

The P3 has more mechanical features, more components (some of them moving like the pin) and requires more machining than the 2.5. I would be surprised if they let it go for the same price as the 2.5. I say no way. But too much more and they just left main stream vaping way behind, but lets be honest here. A 2.5 at $160-$200 is not main stream anyway. The ego devices are main stream.

For the baseline satin silver P3, I'd say $225-$250 sounds about right...

With the prices going up with the coatings the same way we're seeing them now with the 2.5

ZenCoat models, if they make them, will probably go for around $280, if I had to guess... I think $300 is probably higher than most folks are willing to pay

It would be a mistake for Provape to charge $300. I don't want to guess what the prices will be as I don't want to give Provape any ideas on what I'd be willing to pay. Nope. Not doing that!

I agree....

But I will tell Provape that they can have my satin silver standard v2.5 and a Benji for a P3. I'll do that deal all day long.

I am guessing in the $250 range....if its too expensive a lot of people wouldn't justify the cost and since it isn't a "limited edition" type that people might pay more for they have to keep the price reasonable. Now the B&M can charge whatever they want and people will pay it if they want it bad enough...I am probably going to wait till its available in the online store. I know someone personally who opend a vape store in another state and I sent him a message if he is going to be a Provari dealer...if he does then I might get a better price then most B&M stores would sell it at...if not then I will wait a bit for the price and novelty factor to come down.

Several days ago there was a P3 on eBay, from a b&m in Israel, I think it said. Asking price was $349. It sold the next day. Of course, that doesn't mean it will cost that much when the non-beta versions come out....

Crazy...the stuff I see on ebay selling for inflated prices is insane. And a ton of knock offs too.
