I've been charging my Sitck X8 via my computer's usb port which I think is 2.0. I'm assuming thats fine since I never encountered a problem. Just wanted you're input.

A dedicated reputable wall wort would be preferred in my opinion.
Should your battery device "short out" (You saw the video in your other post), not only would the mod's electrical circuits become fried, but so might your computer. A wall wort is cheaper to replace than a computer, eh?

And, I think I remember something about not charging like that with the laptop unplugged. I use a smart charger plugged in to a power strip.
I wouldn't risk my laptop to charge an ecig. Those USB ports are probably rated at 500ma (1/2 amp). Buy a wall plug USB cube charger. You can get those at Dollar Tree or Walmart cheap. If your ecig overheats one of those you aren't damaging an expensive device. 1A charge rate is common for most mods. The cube USB port will do it fine. Check the output current when you go shopping and pick the one with the highest output amp rating.
I have a wall wart, just never used it for my e-cig before. From this thread and another I made, I think I'll use the wall wart from now on.

If the one you use charges slowly, shop around for a 2.1A version in the stores. Most I've seen are 2.1A, but there are cheaper 1A versions. 1A USB charge is common with ecigs but the current limiting circuitry in most ecigs allows the use of a higher capacity charger.
The standard for USB 2.0 is .5A charging, but there are dedicated USB 2.0 chargers that go up to 2.1A. Your mod will pull the amperage rate it's designed for according to the current limiting circuitry built into the device.

As others have said seems risky for the laptop if something were to go wrong with your X8. And the wall wart we talked about in your other thread is was 5 volts, .5 amps, nice healthy charge rate for you battery.
Your computer if usb 2.0 would also be 5 volts .5 amps. If its usb 3.0 it could supply as much as 5 amps. 5 amps would be bad for your battery, charge rate way too high, best case shorten the battery's life, worst case watch the video again.
Now most devices today have the ability to regulate incoming power. Just like your smart phone it only draws the power it can handle. I don't have a manual for your X8 but i would assume the X8's chip would throttle/regulate the incoming potential of 5 amps, just like a smart phone does, to something like .5 to 1 amp. Still why risk your laptop to use it as a very expensive battery charger.

The wall wart I was talking about is actually 1 amp but I do have one that is .5 amp. Everybody I ask says its fine (the wall wart that is).

Thinking about using the .5 amp wall wart instead of the 1amp just to be on the safe side.
Either one is fine on that mod.
The .5 amp will charge at a slower rate, but will be less stressful on your battery and therefore help increase its overall lifespan.
I would recommend getting a USB charger like one by Anker. The current mods can draw could cause the computer port to shut off. They don’t seem to limit their current by what the port limit is.
