I'm new to e-cigarette-forum, so a brief intro...
After nearly 30 years with cigs, I'm done! :toast:
I once managed to quit cold-turkey for 3 years, then picked up the habit again for another 10. I tried cutting down, and was at 10-12 light cigarettes per day, but my whole day was focused on when I'd get to smoke the next one, always in mood to bite off someone's head, and I was huffing those few so deep that I developed a little wheeze.

I bought White Cloud Flings (disposables), which I credit with my quit, and a Halo G6 with mini-tanks, which I'm lovin' with their Twisted Java today. I've ordered a bunch of liquids, so excited to try new flavors.

My favorite aspects of e-cigs over analogs: no more stink, breathing easier without a nighttime wheeze that I kept telling myself was a cold coming on, no ashes everywhere, can smoke in the car guilt-free, and perhaps my favorite aspect: SO MANY FLAVORS to try!

I've definitely spent more $ than I would have on analogs, but I'll have enough juice for months of variety. I wouldn't want to risk running out of stuff I like.

My partner is on the same path, but hadn't smoked as long as I did. He tried gums, patches, etc - none effective for even a week, despite his really, truly wanting to quit. E-cigs have been nearly painless and we are both enjoying guilt-free vaping now, yeah!

Glad to "meet" you all!

Congratulations, that's the best bit about e-cigs all the new flavours to try.

You've got 2 options now:

1). Buy loads of shiny new toys and litres of juice, hit the credit card hard.
or
2). Be happy with the set-up you've got along with a few good flavours and save loads of money.

I chose the first option

Congratulations on quitting analogs. Don't fret too much about stocking up on all the e-liquids it's a much better investment. I like to think its an investment to my health and well being.

Doesn't everyone choose option 1?

I like the Halo G6 mini tanks too. They're a lot smaller than I expected compared to the pictures Halo has on the site. I'm glad about that because right now being discreet is important for me around people. I like how they fit seamlessly on the G6 battery. Really cool looking thing. The vape is smooth and clean and strong.

Congratulations on your quit. I must admit that yesterday I had 4 cigarettes, but that is a big deal for me, and today I've had one. It's going to take a leap of faith to cross the bridge to none for a whole day. When an urge comes on strong I take nice inhales of the 24 mg Tribeca, and during relaxed times I vape on 18 mg Southern Classic. I'm alternating.

I tried nicotine gum countless times over the years. It almost worked and wasn't too bad, but wow this blows it away. So enjoyable.

most liquid vendors have sample packs. gives you the chance to try several flavors without spending too much. if you are like most people you will not care for most flavors you try. I started making my own (DIY) flavors in January and am much happier doing that, not to mention it is a much cheaper route. In the beginning it is the vape gear that costs the most money but in the long run it is the liquids. Good luck.

You go! I did the exact same thing, just wish I would not have purchased so many Flings and would have went straight to the Halo G6 with Mini Tanks, I ordered two of those, just tried one this morning and WOW! This time I can do it, hope to reduce the nic level soon, but after three days I feel better already! I love this forum it has been so much help to me!

bnrkwest, no, I haven't tried Tribeca or Voodoo yet - that shipment won't arrive til tomorrow, heh!

I got my G6 recently with the 'gourmet' sampler, but I had to take advantage of the weekend sale on e-juice, so I bought a mixed sampler a couple days ago, and a big bottle of my favorite Halo juice, and more mini-tanks. And fluid from a few other places. And some blank cartridges to try any flavors that might be bad for tanks. And then more fluid from yet another vendor. Do I sound out of control yet?

At my current consumption rate I should be set with fluid for months. I could imagine "needing" another battery or two, and an additional charger. But THEN...I guess I could just hole up and vape until 2014!

Welcome and Congrats to you HeadInClouds, and your partner.
Ditto to all the above in your post. Both here tried "cold turkey" not a happy household
tried the gum, "little blue twist your dreams pill", itchy scratchy red ring around the patches, RX nic burn the back of your mouth inhaler, neither could shake the stinky monkey.
Found this forum, and these people with a world of info,......priceless:laugh:
