Hi all,

I've got a bit of a dilemma. I have really enjoyed my Kanger Sub-tank and have been fortunate that it doesn't leak so much. However, When I connected my Sub-tank to my Pioneer IPV4, It worked fine the first few hits, but then it would throw errors like Low Resistance or Short. Upon looking closer I noticed that the Sub-tank and the IPV4 both have spring loaded 510 connectors. Could this be the reason for the errors? And if so, is there anything I can do to modify the Sub-Tank so I can use it on the Pioneer? I really want to use nickel where I can as I've found it provides more depth of flavor. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

are you using nickel coils currently? are they pre built or are you wrapping your own nickel coils? I use my sub tank mini on my ipv4 and that seems to work good. Kanthal or ni 200 works good. My guess is you're bottoming out the 510 pin on the subtank against the pin on the ipv 4 causing a direct short. I'm not sure how to remedy that except get the subtank mini. It doesn't have a spring loaded pin on the bottom. Hope I helped.
