Actually it is, that is the ST1 that he said the SP2 copied. The ST2 he made was made after the SP2 as direct competition to the sp2. He states he made it after.
I believe everyone is misreading the posts and think the ST2 was out first, it wasn't.

True....

However, the ST1 was out way BEFORE the SP2 - and, the SP2 is very, very, very much like the ST1 without the 6v sleeve.

The ST2 was a response to SP2 undercutting the price - is stated as such and no big secret.

And that gets back to.. except for mechanical button on bottom is the only resemblance I see between the 2.
I'm guessing it gets back to loyalty to certain vendors.
I haven't seen anyone giving Drew from Nhaler much flack for his mod that he admit was modeled after the GG. Looking at those 2 they even look alike.
Why are these different as in the nhaler is ok and a carbon copy but not the SP2 that doesn't look similar.

I choose not to debate this on this platform. To do so would only qualify a manufacturer who, IMHO, isn't deserving of being mentioned in the same sentence as Super T Manufacturing. Suffice to say, I have done the research on this matter. It is NOT just a matter of reading *he said, she said* posts on a public forum.

I'm happy for you that you found a device that works for you. Congrats, really. We're all ex-smokers who are in this thing together and garner confidence from one another. More power to you.

Who are you, or anyone for that matter to decide who is deserving or not deserving of a mention of the forum ?

Now, since you have done the research, let's see it. I'm assuming you can provide images, sketches, drawings and detailed comparisons of the mechanisms of both the ST1 and the SP2.


Wench is 100 % right. Other Mod creators haven't gotten as much grief as this one even though other devices look the same. So why is it this one PV gets accused of "stealing" a design"


It is really clear that the SP2 design was stolen and being manufactured as an ST2 if you really want to get down to it.

The thing that really gets under my skin is, there should be room for everyone. One manufacturer shouldn't be singled out because a bunch of fans of one guys product don't like it and that is exactly what is going on in this thread.

SP2- Now being offered with a 30 day free trial- don't like it in 30 days, send it back for a refund.

SP2- Lifetime warranty on the main unit ( doesn't include atty's , batteries )

SP2- Readily available

If the manufacturer were intent on designing something simple that worked , they did that.

I think all of you who think they "stole" the design are smoking crack.

If they "stole" the design, are these people that stupid that they would steal it, copy it exactly and then promote it in this forum ? I don't know who would be that ignorant. I wouldn't be, I'd advertise it somewhere else.


There are vendors begining to sell the SP2 and they should be welcomed just as much as anyone else, if there is an issue with design similaraties, that's between the manufacturers.
The way people act on this forum, I wouldn't even want to think about selling a product and advertising it on here.

The maker of the ST1 already told me he had no interest in doing a side by side model comparison. Is that how it works, cry foul and try to discredit a manufacturer on the forum and refuse to prove it ?

My last word is I don't need the Super T manufacturer pming me explaining his "ethics" issue" because I did an SP2 review and I certainly don't need anyone elses opinion either.

Well... it wasn't my last word as intended.

Super T contacted me and asked that I refrain. Further, he wants to express HIS apology to the OP for the thread going askew, and that if anyone wants to read the history of this issue there is a thread dedicated to it on VF.

(I was told that suppliers are not allowed to post in this sub-forum. That said, it's not fair of me to praise nor condemn)

Sorry if I "got under your skin", NYAB. I was out of line... again. We both have strong views on this issue at opposite sides of the spectrum. My apologies...

The only thing that really gets under my skin is there does not need to be the appearence of a "good old boy" network where only specific manufacturers or makers of a "mod" are allowed to sell a product.

There is a market for everyone. This is just my opinion but the SP2 actually helps the market for the ST1, and here is how.

Someone in my position for instance, might not be able to afford the ST1 or want to wait on it to be manufactured. A simple device like the SP2 would encourage someone to buy a model with more/better features later on.

I've seen one particular vendor selling the SP2. the negativity extended towards myself and my review of this particular pv shouldn't be extended toward those vendors.
