Well, since we have no specifics in mind, I would have to say, rightfully so!

Personally, I've never tried to DIY, so, I've no clue what will happen when you're mixing any given flavors in any given ratios. But, I would assume that one can make something out of something that should not of been possible. There have been weirder things that have happened :) On the same token, just because a flavor can taste like 'x', doesn't mean that it will always be the outcome, depending on what exactly is being done in the mixing itself, extra components mixed in, and how much love the mixer endowes upon the juice :)

Edit: I have no idea if what I am saying is relevant at all to the OT :D

Essence of Worcestershire. Mix it up, vape it out. "Yep. That's an exact match to Worcestershire sauce." Immediately toss the mix and the remaining flavor into the trash and set the atomizer on fire. Never again. It was good, but doesn't work well as an e-liquid. Maybe a very small amount to tweak other flavors but ye gods not as a standalone.

Pizza flavoring, add in a hint of bacon. This one is a odd one. It was definately not an all day vape. When I was in prep for hospital and food and drink forbidden, this got me through. I do not think I would like it at any other time.

I'll agree, just because materials to diy are available, does not mean that you should. However if you are on an extremely limited budget, DIY juicing may be a good thing for you. I think that people that are PG sensitive are better off mixing their own stuff. They can buy their flavoring from a popular flavoring company that does not use a PG base & mix it totally VG. Others are just creative by nature & want to create their own mixture. To me, it's about knowing I can if I ever HAVE to.

About a month into vaping, I got scared. I got scared of legislators & the possibility that they could close most juice vendors down. I started off buying straight nic, putting it in 4oz glass bottles in my freezer. Then I started buying flavors, playing around, etc. Thus far i've been successful with about 10 juices that I personally would & do vape. Hell, menthol goes with any fruit flavor :) I'll admit, that i'm still scared of what future legislation could do to some vendors, so I will continue with my DIY creations.

At the last vape meet, I passed 6ml of each of my best juices around the table for people to try out & ended up taking home 1 bottle, because people wanted the entire bottles of my mixtures. (yay) I can re-create juice from one vendor spot on (I won't even mention their name in this thread). I haven't figured out hype, sweet tart nor craveloupe & don't even know where to begin. That to me is a good thing. It means that the flavor is complex, not easily re-created, & i'm vaping something "special". I do think that there is alcohol in these juices though & I don't use alcohol in my mixtures. *note* if legislature ever lays down the law, & God forbid AVE goes out of business, I'm sleeping in Katy & stalking the wookies (jk)

One person at the vape meet said he didn't want to try my peach menthol because fruity flavors were too much for him. I talked him into trying it, because the peach is really subtle. He tried it, he liked it, he took the bottle home with him. Just had someone PM me the other day & tell me that one of my strawberry juices was so good they opened a brand new carto just for it. Personally, I think that my blueberry honeysuckle blows a particular vendor's honeysuckle juice outta the water. My peach menthol is fkng fabulous & I usually vape that on the way home from work. During work though........ it's AVE's sweet tart, hype, or craveloupe depending on how I feel when I wake up that particular morning. I've already got my 3ml bottles full & I just pop one of those & a 14500 in a reo mini & i'm ready to save the world :)

It started out with the DIY shops........now even the juice shops & hardware shops are offering DIY flavors for sale......It's a way to make a buck. If 50 people buy a dram of diy flavoring for $3 each, & the vendor paid $7 for 2 ounces of that flavor........well you do the math. Let's not forget that it normally takes more than one flavor to make a juice........so the people are usually buying more than one dram. Vendors that are adding DIY flavoring to their line up are out for the dollar. That is the only thing that I can figure out. Either that, or they know something that we dont' know.

Storage::Well, what used to be a room with just my tanning bed & my hello kitty collection has turned into what appears to be a lab of sorts............ Not only do I have all of my diy crap in there on a desk, I've got a dresser with one drawer dedicated to PIF, another dedicated to juices/hardware/bling/accessories that are worth keeping, another dedicated to DIY, and another dedicated to shipping materials.

So, those are my feelings about mixing eliquid & can/should.
I'd love to see more replies to this thread :)
