It's Friday somewhere!

Oh wait, that only works for 5 o'clock...

Well, technically Wednesdays are my Fridays. Since I am off Thursday Friday every week. Just that this week I am working an extra day. Lots of people have different day off combos, so I guess any day could be Friday for someone.

And this is "Hawkeye's 'yawn, stretch, scratch' slowly waking up for the day, first entry of the day," entry.

During the summer, we go to a 4 10's schedule and only work monday-thursday. I stopped the HR director and told her I had some questions about the new schedule.

HR: That's right.
me: That means that Thursday is our Friday, right?
HR: That's right.
me: But... we don't have to come in on Fridays!

I would love 4-10s, but the only way to get that where I work is to goto the graveyard shift, and then you basically lose a day anyways because of the sleep shift, so not worth it. Of course a lot of weeks I end up working a bunch of 10 hour shifts anyways. But it's nice where I am, anything over 8 hours in a single day is OT, regardless of total hours in the week. So it's technically possible to work say 38 hours, and still have some OT on the paycheck.

Where I work they just close the place down on Fridays. Saves them a bunch of money, from what I understand. It took me a bit to adjust to 4 10's, but I like it now. It's just June-Sept.
