I was curious to anyone using this cotton as wicking material, specifically for Novas, whether you split the fibers or just cut off a piece and use as is? I've just recently started re-coiling and wicking mine. First head was amazing, but the latters are annoying me with an almost dry-like burnt taste here and there. So I'm trying to root out the problem. I doubled up the legs, to see if it was the grommet, but the problem persists along with somewhat poor vapor. I loved these at first, but I'm about fed up. My rda has given me no problems thus far. ...

I use the exact same cotton thread on my oddy clones, drippers, and the Vivi Novas, which I rarely use any more. Some people boil them, I don't. But you do need to let them soak in your juice, several hours. I also double up the thread. I don't unravel the threads, just snip, wrap loosely, fill the tank or drip some PG on the cotton yarn, let it dit, and vape a few hours later.
I'm going to tinker with them for another week or so, and if performance isn't where I deem it should be...they're getting the boot. Especially with my new found success and love for the RDA. For barely nine dollars the RDA has amazing performance to me along with ease to mod.
