I would add one more category: The Jumping on the E-Cig Bandwagon to Turn a Quick Buck shop. There's one (supposedly) opening about 15 miles from my house. I know someone that is friends with the owner, and he doesn't give a hoot about vaping, he's just trying to get in, make some money, and get out when business dies.

He'll probably be the one with the $32 CE5s and the $120 hcigar Nemmy's.

Totally agree with this. I don't even consider them vape shops.

Honestly there's even one shop In my area that makes their own juice in an AEMSA Lab purpose-built. They only carrie beginner stuff like EVODs and pro tanks and I don't shop there because of that and price inflation compared to other B&Ms in the area...

That's right, I'm against my local B&M stores. They charge far too much for what I'd like to purchase so I scour the interwebs for deals that make my wallet happy.
Sorry, but getting something right now isn't worth the extra dollars to me. I'll be ok waiting for something I find more reasonably priced.

I can order every small household appliance, phone battery, computer, clothing, shoes, etc. online. And shop overseas, too. Cheap.

Thank god there are B&M stores to go to though. They have overhead, like rent, electricity, parking, etc. to deal with, I don't begrudge them their $$.

B&M stores also vitalize a community.......sure beats going to your town center and seeing nothing but empty buildings, or just offices, no window shopping, no foot traffic, no people, etc.

The B&M stores are also the ones having vape meets, etc. Just like a coffee shop that sells ground coffee has customers who get together, listen to music, etc.

Then you have sidewalk sales in nice weather, street fairs, etc.

Be careful what you wish for.

Some of the younger generation seems overly dependent on the computer age. There was a series called Dark something, a world after the "pulse" or soemthing that wiped out networks. Heck, I've seen power outages last 10+ days where i am. What ya gonna do then? :) I like real sidewalk/town life. The internet isn't the same as a real on-land community and never will be

That's what I don't get about people complaining about prices and comparing to online (especially online from China). You can buy everything on the internet cheaper.

I buy almost all my gear from B&M stores.

Why?

- You get to see/touch/feel the product before purchasing.

- They will build your RDA which is a good way to learn.

- You can sample juices instead of buying blindly

- They will rebuild your RDA

- Instant returns

- The experience

Now I'm one that buys based on value so these things are important. If you simply buy the lowest price regardless of the service an convenience, more power to you.

I'm not anti B&M but I am anti "my local" B&M. I was sooooo excited to see a vape shop open up less than a mile from me. Walked in about a week after they opened and quickly realized they know very little about vaping and clearly entered the market for one reason: to cash in. No big deal, that's how capitalism works, but these guys are not in business to educate or help people. They are in business to sell knock off hardware and terrible juice (all of their stock is crap from China) at the highest possible margin with no regard to "quality".

I'm sure you'd feel differently if they unwittingly and accidentally dropped an extra MVP 2.0 in your bag.

My experience with B&Ms thus far has been very mixed. I like the one closest to me as they have a great juice bar, are very friendly, and the environment is nice. I bought my starter kit from them and found later I paid probably double what the kit would have cost me online but was not upset as I know I would not have ordered the right gear online to start with and would most likely still be smoking.

The other stores in the area I have been to once and will not return to. Two are nothing more mall kiosks that just happen to be in storefront locations in rundown strip malls. One is a nice location and very well done inside, have a nice juice bar too, but offer very low end China juices and one other line plus very limited gear. I stopped into that one again yesterday for the second time but will not return as it was jammed with boys that must have turned 18 that very day. The owner, who I like, was bragging about his new line of dry herb vaporizers and wanted to know if I wanted to see any.

There is another close that I found a while ago and was shocked at how good their prices were. Went back last weekend and noticed he had raised his margins by at least 30% if not more on all his hardware.

At any rate, I try to give B&Ms as much business as I can as I like to support local businesses in general but I will not pay an outrageous amount over online prices for anything.

Very hit or miss. Like any other type of shopping there will be good stores with good prices out there and others that make you wonder who shops there. Keep in mind none of these shops are there as a charity.

There's a great B&M near me that has great prices and flavors, so I try to support local businesses by buying from them.

If you're ever in Spokane, check out the Vapor's Lounge or Smok'n Anywhere Legal B&M's. They try to compare with online prices when they can, but you'll still pay slightly more. But, if it wasn't for these two (and since I purchase mostly online), I would be anti-B&M also.
