I just received some unflavoured nic-juice 75/25 PG/VG at 18mg with some 10ml concentrates to mix. I tried mixing up some pineapple at first, 10 drops in 10ml bottle. killer sweet and sickly. I made some again starting with just the 1 drop to be sure. Still really strong? I then then vaped the plain unflavourd juice on its own, and its just so damn sweet? I was under the impression that PG wasn't as sweet as VG. I've got some 50/50 and 100% VG based juices that ain't this sweet?

Its quite thick for a PG base so I added some distilled water to one mix with a little VG to try and tame it, but its still won't cut through the taste. It has some kind sickly after taste on the exhale. Adding more flavour will not kill it either?

The only flavour I have that cuts through it somewhat is fennel. Most of the flavours just end up tasting pretty much the same because of the dominate sweet base.

I got some VG nic base form Health Cabin and found it smelled and tasted distinctively, thus tainting my DIY attempts, which are not too skilled to start with :)
I know for sure high quality nic base doesn't smell at all.
I think they might have some quality control issue, perhaps.

As you say, PG shouldn't taste particularly sweet, VG does.

Yeah its odd. It taints all the flavours I've tried to mix, and steeping them hasn't helped much. I have no problem with their service though, everything else I ordered was top notch and quickly despatched with no problems what so ever. Luckily I have a collection of paradise vapes juices to crack on and toot with and the Ni- juice from healthcabin wasn't the most expensive available.

Thanks for the responses.
