I'm thinking about getting back into vaping. I've had just about every mod from the VAMO to the Rio Grand, and every battery in between.

In trying to keep it simple this time however. Just a battery and a clearo. Are there any good clearos these days? I've tried all of them up until about 8 months ago when I quit vaping. Sure some were decent, but at the end of the day they were all inconsistent.

Just wondering if somebody finally "got it right" in the clearomizer department?

Thanks!

No one has really "got it right". But they are getting better.

These are the ones that I use trouble free:
Aspire ET-S BDC
Aspire Vivi Nova BDC (though the base pin can be a little finicky)
Aspire Nautilus
Kanger Pro Tank II - Never tried the 3 because I wanted single coil

Oldie but goodie for me is still the Kanger T2 long wick.

Kanger is getting to release two new versions of the Aero Tank. The mega and mini. These are supposed to be pretty good and have got high praise from Pbusardo.

Lots of people seem to like the Innokin 16's and 30's. But I personally don;t like them at all.

There are lovers and haters of all of them posting around here.

My daily devices are 2 Aspire vivi nova S for the large capacity, ET-S and $2.95 Kumiho ovape clearo. I have a couple of the Aspire mini vivi nova S, i30, and cheap RDA that stay at home. Bunch of CE4 and 5 that sit in a box.
Thanks for the reply. Maybe I will look into the aspire. I really enjoyed my reo grand, but rebuilding the atomizer just became too much of a problem for me. I didn't have the time. Also, is there a mod similar to the Provari, that's not as expensive these days?
Thanks a lot!

BTW, Garemlin and I have been happy with the prices and service at

DesertVapes Electronic Cigarettes and Supply

Not free shipping but 2.95 for most orders.

Yup I am a regular customer of DV. Great service and get my orders in 3 days max all the way across the country with standard shipping. But I did find the ET-S for almost $2 cheaper at World of Vape.

Thanks Garemlin. I have tried all of those, except the Aspire series. I've never been a big nova fan because of the inconsistencies. Of the other two aspire clearos that you mention, which do you prefer?

Thanks man!

I really like the Aspire ET-S. It is glass with a metal shield. 3ml capacity and thin profile. The only issue I have with it is it does not like to go below 1/3 full or it will gurgle. But this is just the nature of most bottom coils because they work on a vacuum concept. Too much air and too little liquid can cause to gurgle. Easy fix with a quick wipe of the base and a fill. I have never had any issues with the Aspire Mini and Vivi Nova either. They use the same Aspire BDC head. Not top wicking like the older Vision Novas. They are very consistent and don;t seem to suffer as much from the low level vacuum level that the ET does. The Nautilus is just a beast. Holds 5ml of liquid and has adjust air volume. I have two Nautilus and I am going to be putting one up for sale as well as two Mini Nova BDC's in the classifieds soon if you are interested.

BTW the ET, Vivi and Mini Nova are all available in acrylic as well as glass with the metal shield for tank cracker juices.

If there was they would sell a ton. If you don't mind a box mod the MVP 2.0 is all the rage right now. It has vv and vw, built in 2600mAh battery, ohm meter, puff counter, 510/ego threading and a small form factor that feels great in the hand. No rattlesnake vape either. Many Provari owners even praise them. They normally sell for around $70 but many online retailers have them for as low as $40. I personally have two and bought my gf one.

I'm going to suggest the MVP, you can get it and the aspire et-s, which I also highly recommend at worldofvape. I have the viva nova bdc as well, but I like the et-s better because it has a tighter draw and slimmer profile. Buy extra coils as well.

Much thanks man! I'll let you know soon if I'm interested in those tanks!

The 510 flat bottoms need a trim ring back threaded up to control air flow in my experience. Saw it in a pbusardo video.

For reference, on the left is the MVP2 with a Nautilus. Just imagine the hot pink replaced with plain black, silver or blue :)

The VTR is on the right, though with with it's original Iclear30s. I had no technical problems with the 30s, it just has a tighter draw and I prefer something more airy.

On another mod note, I have an evic also and to me it provides the easiest access to all the "data" - i.e. ohm reading, battery power left, VV or VW setting. They all will do it, the evic just pops all that up automatically in one screen.

Nice! Thanks for your time. Let me ask you...does the Nautilus vape better then the iclear30 considering that it's so much more expensive? Also, with the MVP2...being that the battery is built in, what is the life span of the device before it has to be tossed out? Thanks again!

I've heard 300-600 cycles I think. But the device cuts off before you reach the lower end of a full cycle. I charge mine every other day on average so maybe a year or two. Probably the electronics will give up before the battery. Then you can tear it apart and make something.

At $40-50 each that's a carton of smokes for me that last a week.
