What's your instrument and what music do you play? I play keyboards, bass, and theremin. I mostly play indian/hindu music (bhajan, kirtan, and raga) and experament with techno and classical. I want to learn to play tabla's (traditional indian drums). Don't have a bass anymore but have a CASIO MZ-200 keyboard and plan on getting a theremin soon so I don't have to use someone elses. Or ill just build my own. Just in case anybody doesn't know what a theremin is, its the first and oldest electric musical instrument made, its the only one that I know of that you don't touch to play it. It work by your inteaction with 2 electric feilds around 2 antennas, one for volume, one for pitch, the closer your hand gets to the pitch antenna, the higher the pitch. The volume antenna is opposite, the further your hand is from the volume antenna the louder it gets. It produces a sound like a cello in the low registers and almost like a violin in the mid and high registers. Set the pitch knob low enough and a theremin can even do a prety good imitation of a bass.

I play guitar, nothing else...I play all sorts, but me and my brother do open mics and mostly cover grunge tunes, classic rock and alternative rock songs...Some names we constantly cover would be Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Neil Young, Seven Mary Three (I only know Cumbersome but we do it alllll the time), Creed, Screaming Trees, Soul Asylum, Rolling Stones, The Who...On one occasion when he was drunk and I was doing my own thing, we actually played an ABBA song...

My keyboard isnt set up rite now.. had to rearrange the house, a friend of mine got evicted and he moved in with us. However I have been playing with a new stereo I just got. We'll its old, but has a huge amp, the tuner is shot, AM works ok, FM is totally dead, needs bench work so that's my next project, bring that tuner back to life. The amp is perfect, works great, 75w/ch. Its all seperate compnents, made by sanyo. I never knew sanyo made real stereos like that. Haven't tested the tape deck.. don't have any tapes.. lol.. everything I got now is mp3 or flac on media players. I'm going to use the amp and big set of speakers on my keyboard for stereo.
Would you believe I still have some tapes. If I can find an old mix tape I'll let you know, I think the only ones I have left is a Bruce Springsteen collection of live concerts. Kind of want to keep that.
