Any quick fix for sticky manual switch?

As a freebie I got a really nice XL manual. I like the feel of it, seems matte white with lots of V4L logos and rings all the way down the batt. The problem with it is that out of the box it has a sticky switch. I'll push the button and it heats the atomizer til the cutoff then won't relite for a while (I'm assuming it's still stuck on). It works great when it works but I can only hit it like once every 20 mins (maybe the batt's trying to stifle my hardcore vape sessions?!? ;))

Anybody had this issue before and have a quick fix for it? Is there already a thread that deals with this issue that I couldn't find? I don't really need it as I'm full of batteries after all my freebies in my millions of recent orders but I don't want to see such a nice batt goto waste! I think I like the finish on it the best of all the batts I have so far!

The plastic button seems to spring back, I've fiddled with it a bit and no change. I haven't charged it yet, just playing off the initial charge. Maybe a charge will reset it? Or is that a bad idea with a sticky button? Or maybe it doesn't even come close to working like that. I'm a computer guy and reboot is always my first step but I can see how that might not work here.

Then it's probably the switch itself. :(

I would be surprised if charging it helped. Charging certainly won't hurt anything, but I don't think I'd do it while the button is down. If the "ash cap" led doesn't blink within 20 seconds of putting it on charge, I'd take it off.

When it sticks, have you tried slapping it against your hand, with the button facing down?

I'm shooting in the dark here. :(
