Just wondering if I have any fellow car people around.. autocrossers, club racing, formula, whatever.. let's hear it! Maybe I'll post some videos sometime soon.. For anybody that's not into it..yet.. If you're any type of adrenaline junkie just go autocross one time and you'll be hooked. :D

Hey Florida what's up Bro...I've always thrown my money away on race cars/parts...Currently building a '72 Plymouth Duster. It's back-halfed sitting on 14x32 Goodyear Eagle slicks. Hemi orange with black Duster stripes...Engine is in progress and is 512ci with Indy Aluminum heads. Looking a reliable 700hp. Liberty 5-speed..It can run a street tune and Mickey Thompsons if I decide too...NOS Pro Shot Fogger sitting on the shelf...will add if needed...She a straight and narrow car and hoping for low 9s in the 1/4..Shouldn't be a problem.....Boss took the shop to the local go kart track last month...All I heard was chit before we got there..Leaving one guy asked why I didn't slow down and wait..WTH?? I love those go karts so I know the auto-cross is a blast...Straight only for me though...This Duster is costing as much as my crib....and I did all the work..........

I just installed a JHM short shift kit and linkage upgrade in my A4. It's tuned with APR software, larger fuel injectors, test pipe, custom exhaust, methanol injection, front mount intercooler, plus a few other things...

I hang out with some other Audi/VW folks from around Central Florida. We love taking trips around Lake County. Lots of hills and twisties. There's a German bakery in Yalaha that's the destination sometimes.

I haven't done any official events, but I'd like to. A bunch of us did go to the 1/4 mile track in Bithlo for an embarrassing night of burned clutched and brakes.

There's a guy in Jax with an awesome A4 - upgraded turbo, etc. David Umpleby.

so Ben....as you know last week I went to Elko,NV to see Amber graduate from college. (did I mention a degree in Electronics?) I spent a few days so needless to say we had to find some suitable mother/daughter outings. Sat. we spend the afternoon at the local piercing parlor....since there are no decent tattoo shops in Elko. Then Sat night we went to the races. Of course being my daughter she naturally hangs out with mechanics. Who race pure stock cars. :) Greenwood Racing....car #30:
Summit Raceway, Elko, Nevada

So once the races were over they let Amber take the car out on the track and give it a few spins. I overheard the dad say to one of the kids as she came off the track..."well....I guess we better start building another car" :)
EDIT: let me clarify...the comment was made because she is such a skilled driver they want her on the team...NOT because she wrecked the car. :)

are you SURE you want to stay in Florida??? I mean it's Nevada...I don't think they have any laws there....automatic weapons...explosives.....wide open spaces.....and me for a mother-in-law. dude....it just doesn't get any cooler than that! Okay...where she lives looks like the movie set from The Hills Have Eyes....but she's got a couple horses and 4wheelers....you could outrun the freaks. Or whatever...
