Wow! Glad I ordered 2 more the other day, as Christmas presents(probably late arriving ), before the price increase.

I got mine from Zainy on VaperHawk for $36 free shipping.
It just arrived. Delivered in 2 1/2 weeks
Ainy now raised it to $38 free shipping.

It would have cost $39 plus $8.20 shipping, total: $47.20 on her .net retail site.

It really feels like a quality product.
Strong and sturdy. Its heavy with a nice feel.

I hope someone can help me figure out the easiest way to optimally mount a Kanger T3 Clearo on a VAMO.
I have one on order, and after reading this thread I'm bummed.
(Thanks tc1 post#157, billherbst #171, GIMike #56, GEEK #232, and boardopboy #288)

It seems the "top well" of the VAMO is not wide enough to accept a T3, so can I just Dremmel it larger and everyone is happy? Or will this still inhibit airflow?

I know a 510-ego adapter solves functionality, but it's a gift for a first timer, so I must keep it simple(heh VW).
There is an assortment of eGo sleeves and skirts available(pics below), but I can't tell which would work/look best.

I am pretty sure 3 of them will work, but I don't fully understand the airflow or exact dimensions.
I hope someone has these skirts and can advise. Pics even better.

frolob: An adapter will be required. A T3 threads in a different location than a 510. AKA they are "ego" threaded. It uses the same threads that those "skirts" use. Most mods do not have these threads (Vamo included). ... I took a leap of faith and ordered two. One nickle and one black nickle. Must say, I'm impressed. Very nice connection threads, center post, overall feel, body threading, etc. Has a LOT more heft than my YJ LT v2.0. I don't think I can find anything bad to say about this thing. Vivi nova wobbles a wee bit when threaded down, but it threads securely. Vapes REMARKABLY well. Got mine from healthcabin. Listed at 39 each, shipping was 14.50 for them and a couple odds and ends. Shipped DHL and got it in 4 days (including sunday). use coupon code ECF. Will update if my opinion changes, but I doubt it will. Happy Vaping

My Vamo has eGo threads on it, they are just recessed. A Vision clearomizer will go on it, but removing it can be tricky. You can't get ahold of the metal base so your have to unscrew grabbing the clear tube. If you're not careful the tube will unscrew from the base rather than the base unscrewing from the mod. This can result in a juicy mess. Also the draw is pretty tight when used like this.

Just got my Vamo. This thing is really nice. I picked it up from Smoktech for 59.99. Ordered Monday, received Thursday. Packaged well, with an included felt black holding bag. Also got a free 3ml sample juice. Even at this higher price, I am planning on buying more. Hopefully they will have a black metal or stainless steel. The fingerprints are a pain, but not a deal breaker.

I would highly recommend this product for any person stepping into the variable voltage arena.
My Ego Twists were good...this seems to be the next step.

I jumped on the bandwagon today and finally placed an order for a Vamo. Had to buy batteries and a charger too as this is my first battery mod. I have evolved from kgo's>kgo vv>Vamo, cant wait to get it.

My first battery mod too. It's due today. Within the hour! I'm going to use the small size and I have 3 batteries. I don't mind changing batteries. I do mind having to plug in and wait! I have a ego v. 2 of them but often I forget to charge the spare and hate my unregulated egos. Well I don't HATE them but they don't give me good hits like the vv does set a little higher and all that. And if the chrome gets funky. Am going to glue leather on it. I do horses and have nice saddles and I really live leather. I mean for the price I really can't mess up too bad. It will be fun

OK, so dremmeling is out.
Anyone have pics of a Kanger T3 on the VAMO (Tightened tightly!)? I would also LOVE closeups of the connector Well, and of ONLY the 510-eGo connector mounted to VAMO.

I understand the QC on the protrusion of the 510 on the VAMO is slightly variable, so the deal would be a sleeve/cone which when properly adjusted would allow full/proper tightening of the 510-eGo adapter, leaving no gaps to VAMO.

Now, permanently attaching the eGo sleeve and 510-eGo adapter to the VAMO is possible.
No more fiddling with adapters, out of box T3's go right on(this is what I want).

FYI- if you screw a(my) 510-eGo adapter into a(4 of mine(3 hole)) T3 tightly, the threads block the 3 air inlet holes slightly, seriously affecting draw(tighter).

If the t3 with 510-eGo adapter fits flush or "flush enough" to the VAMO, Im fine as is!
Thanks

Permanently attaching an ego adapter to the Vamo isn't a good idea for a couple of reasons. First, not all ego adapters are built the same. Some are longer or shorter and have more or fewer ego threading. You wouldn't have the option of finding a better fit in the future. Second, if you ever decided to use a tank like a DCT, RBA tank, or Nova, It would look mighty ugly because it would sit so high. Do yourself a favor and buy several different 510-ego adapters. You will probably stumble on one that doesn't plug the T3 air holes (which you could probably widen). Maybe ask in the tank forums if anyone has found an adapter that doesn't clog the T3. Good luck.

Anyone having problems with the 18650 batteries in the Vamo? Because of their weight and because of the small spring in the battery cap, when putting the Vamo straight down on a table the + pole is shortly disconnected from the device, turning it off. Some people use a magnet on the - pole of the battery for that problem. Does the magnet fix this problem? And can a magnet be safely used on the - pole of a 18650 battery? What size should the magnet be, especially its thickness?

Any suggestions?

Can you just pop off the spring and expand it? I had to do that, and now I do not get any shut offs.

What I wanted to know is if it is possible to wrap some electrical tape or something around the battery safely.
Right now the AW IMR 18650 seems to rattle just a little in there because of thickness.
Can I put something around the battery so it fits more snug in the tube?

You need to make sure there is a path for gas to get to the vent hole in case your battery implodes. Tape can seal the air ways up, making a bad problem much worse.
