Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

nothing special.. but i found a way how to get a huge vapor using this "cheap" but "powerful" like the expensive ones out there :)

Got my vamo today. First thing I did was try my viva nova at 5.5v. After 3 good puffs on it I got light headed lol. Guess I need to get some lower nic juice if I want to run that high. Only been using it for a few hours but I'm really impressed so far. Love the simplicity and ease of use. Have it running at 4v right now and I'm getting good vapor and flavor.

Ok, I've got one I can't figure out. So, I stopped in a Vapor Kings over the weekend and picked up a pair of AW 18350's. Great store BTW.

Now, both batteries worked fine out of the box so to speak(since they didn't actually come in boxes), but I charged them last night after running them down in shorty mode yesterday, and now one of them gives me a Lo-v when I try to use it. The unit powers up, shows the voltage of the batt, proper resistance of the atty, all that, but it won't fire, just get the Lo-v error. The other batt, and my 18650's work fine. Now for the kicker. When I put BOTH 18350's in, it reads the total voltage of both batts, and fires as it should. ...?

Any input would be great.

I kinda wish the ss version came out first. lol

Mine is finally starting to get a few small scratches and a small blemish line that seems to show the brass underneath. Barely noticeable really and most likely my fault. The past few days I've been touching it with most likely a little juice on my hands so yeah, that probably doesn't help maintain the integrity of the chrome (paint?).

Of course, it probably wont matter much once I decide to skin it so who really cares. I am interested in knowing if ... and by how much the ss version weighs more than the chrome plated versions.

OK, self solving problem.

I don't know what the particular issue is with the board in my unit, but apparently if you put an overcharged single cell in it, it reads it as 2 cells with a total voltage that would be below its cutoff point for 2 cells. This batt was at 4.5 volts, and was apparently falling into this "hole". I can't come up with any other logical explanation for it, since the problem was very repeatable. One batt had 4.3v, and wroked fine, while the other had 4.5v and wouldn't fire.

So, I just ran it for a little while in dual 18350 mode, til I bled a little voltage off that one cell, now it works fine again. I'll have to keep a closer eye on my cheap POS charger from now on. I'm thinking a better charger is in my future.

Time for a new charger!

You shouldn't charge your batteries above 4.25V. It will shorten the life of them.
Charging above 4.5V could possibly make them go thermal.

Yup ... I wouldn't take a risk with a charger that is over charging. That can get pretty dangerous, along with causing cell death in your batteries. In the long run it's much cheaper to just replace the charger. I mean ... you can buy cheap chargers that wont overcharge for under $5 ($20 for a great one).

Good information though ... this COULD be the problem some people are having with the Lo v error.

I've been using Twists since I started vaping but I always wanted something with variable watts. However, I couldn't find anything that was reasonably accurate and had a sane menu system until the Vamo.

I'm very happy that I waited for the Vamo which arrived in vape mail a couple of days ago. It has been performing perfectly and is built dramatically better than I expected for the price. After watching the PBusardo review only once I could use the menu system very easily. The only frustration was tracking down how to use my XTAR WP2 II charger properly.

I'm so pleased with my Vamo that I ordered a stainless steel model, eGo Bamboo APV V2 (Stainless Body), from Health Cabin.

My Vamo doesn't rattle with an 18650 battery the same way the one PBusardo reviewed does. Rather it makes a slight thunking sound when shaken vigorously which will reliably disconnect the 18650. I've even had stacked 18350s disconnect.

There seems to be more than ample compression with the length of the Vamo spring so I concluded it was just too wimpy to keep the battery(s) in firm contact. I followed xbassman's suggestion to get a Silver Bullet replacement hot spring. The description indicates the spring lowers resistance but it doesn't seem to do that for my Vivi Novas nor my Kanger M3s.

The hot springs on alt-smoke seems to now be out of stock but this Helix hot spring at Avid Vapor looks to be the same or similar. However, I don't know that for sure nor do I know anything about Avid Vapor.

The hot spring has a large base and the Vamo has a small base so it won't work as a direct replacement. However it's easy enough to just stretch the base of the hot spring out to make it just a smidge bigger at the base. Then tension will hold the hot spring against the sides of the end cap so it doesn't fall out when the end cap is removed. I haven't bothered to remove the original spring and the Vamo works just fine. I can now shake the livin' bejeebers out of the Vamo and the 18650 makes no sound nor does it come disconnected.

I just got mine today. I also received 2 900mah bats with it and it didn't work on mini mode at first but would with both, so I figured I just needed to charge up the bats. Tried it again and it didn't work, so I just pulled the springs like everybody talks about here and it works fine now.

This is my first APV but all the trials and errors getting a new devices was ruined by you guys because I made sure it was set to no2, then wattage, and now it's just plug in play :) The thing does hit like a champ. It's fun trying out the wattage for each device/juice and interesting to see how different the ohm's are, especially the same cartos. I also got dizzy for the first time vaping today too like somebody else said. 18mg in a nova at 9 watts kicked my ....

Good information though ... this COULD be the problem some people are having with the Lo v error.

I might be the first one on this thread to report about the Lo v issue. None of my batteries have higher than 4.21v on my multimeter after coming off the charger. I was able to get almost 2 hours of vaping time before I get the error. Then regardless of what voltage battery (from 3.8-4.2) I put in the device I get random voltage readings from my vamo ranging from 2.1-5.0 from the same battery. This happens with any battery I put in the vamo, although I might get a proper voltage reading and 5 or so pulls off it before it acts up again. It doesn't matter the battery. If I let it hang out untouched without a battery for a day or so I can then get between an hour or two of vaping time before it acts up again.

Hi Vapingturtle: I sold it to him. I bought it tried it for literately a few minutes and regretted buying it.
The weight of the device compared to my young june mini lava tube was the main reason I didn't care for it.
I'm refunding his money and I'm in touch with the vendor to get a replacement. It must be a defective unit. I didn't use it long enough to have any defects show to me. After reading through all the posts, maybe I'll give this device another shot once I get the replacement unit. I may have been too quick to rule it out. Even with the added weight, it does sound like its a cool device. I haven't seen other posts with this problem so hopefully its just a fluke factory defect. I'll post to let everyone know how this all works out.

I shipped my vamo back to jjcordone today and received a full refund plus the cost of shipping. I'd say that was definitely going above and beyond. I'm hoping he will have success exchanging it.

Here's a tip, Vamoholics...

Don't grab your black chrome Vamo with vape juice on your hands. You'll soon have a dull aluminium Vamo.

Side note: It's less slippery where the black chrome coating has been stripped away!

I guess that is what happened to mine. It started with a spot that is growing exponentially every day. Eventually I will take it apart and strip it down to the bare metal.

Got mine yesterday. I like it.

I like it better then my Zmax. It feels more substantial, the screen is easier to read, and I like the 3 button layout.

Cons - gunmetal makes it slippery. I concur with other users who would rather have no finish if it makes it less slick. My battery also rattles around a little bit.

Hits like a beast. Wattage on my Zmax was a 5.5 with the Vamo 7.5.
