Any Vamo/Etna VV VW owners here yet?

Yeah my only complaint is the damn finish. But that should be resolved with the SS version, whereas my Spotty Black Chrome version will be relegated to backup.

Nice! Did you use the template in this thread? If so, how accurate was it?

Imported it from pdf to jpeg and made sure it was 1:1 and it worked really well. No scaling. You want the bottom width to be 2.75 inches.

Here's a tip, Vamoholics...

Don't grab your black chrome Vamo with vape juice on your hands. You'll soon have a dull aluminium Vamo.

Side note: It's less slippery where the black chrome coating has been stripped away!

The black chrome finish seems to discolor and wear off quickly regardless of how clean your hands are.

It's still great despite the aesthetics.

But I can already tell it will get to the point where it won't look good anymore... That's when I'll wrap it.

I posted these in another thread but I will repost them here. Here is what is happening to my blach chrome Vamo. Started after just nine days and I have had it only about two weeks so far. Once it started the color coming off has kept accelerating.

Yup yup. The vamo is easy to take apart too. So its really easy to customize the look in whatever way you choose.

If I didn't know better, I'd think you were shooting my Vamo. Looks very familiar.

I worry about damaging the top when gripping it to wiggle it out of the tube. Does it come our pretty easily or do you have to struggle with it?

Nice tight grip and some good wiggles ... you'll be good. The wires are thick and decently long enough so I wouldn't worry too much.

I assume you've seen rynos video on how to do it? Just follow his lead.

The Igo-L is a regular visitor on my Vamo as well - great little attie. Looks a little bit lost on the Vamo in 18650 mode though

What is this EGo-L you speak of? Is it made by Vision? SmokTech?

I put my battery reader on my Vamo and it reads the battery. I added the carto and it flashes. Why? Is this the battery pulse behavior. Im set at rms watts

pulse width modulation. alot more pv's have it

I have a question for everyone. Setting the vamo for RMS and using it with a vivi nova with a 2.8 ohm head, whats the starting point in watts to set it at? I know a lot of the selection is personal taste, but whats a good starting point?
On my lava tube, I always use the plus two rule - 2.8 ohm head = set the voltage at 4.8v.

I've been paranoid about wearing down the black chrome finish since I've been reading the threads and have been handling my Vamo with the cloth bag that came with it. Thinking of picking something up from these guys, VAMO Vapor Skinz | Vapor Skinz. I suck when it comes to cutting out patterns.
