have any of you quit smoking and started or gone back to vaping? For the last 4 years I have been trying to quit smoking. In that time I was introduced to ecigs. A year ago I quit smoking using gum and recently I started vaping again. I was wondering if anyone else here has done the same, quit smoking then after some time have started vaping?

Sort of. I managed to quit smoking using the gum for about 4 months. At the same time, I was slowly gaining weight. That, in itself, wouldn't have been a problem. But after being over weight all my life, I had lost over 70 pounds and managed to keep it off for 3 years. I panicked and started smoking again. At the same time, I knew there had to be an alternative. I found vaping. It kept my metabolism more normal, and got me back off the stinkies. I love it now and will never go back.

I quit smoking years ago. cold turkey no ecigs at all. Over the last almost 2 years, i help kick my roommate from smoking 2 packs a day to 24mg now down to 5mg...its been a huge passion of mine solely for her health. Now she laughs at how stinky smokers are and how gross it was.

Fast forward today, i have dozens of diy juices i mix up for me in 0nic and my roommate. Now she spends ZERO dollars at the store and i just cash in on the great deals and discounts from vendors that come on here. Even if i stopped buying supplies today, I could make diy juices for at least a few years...only think i could need would be coils, and i have 20 feet of Ti coil that could make up a 40+ coils ...cotton for days and a dozen batteries

Now my ecig stock pile is almost as big as my spearfishing collection, which would rival most dive shops and then some...twice over

My boss quit smoking years ago but every once and a while just has to have one. He was asking me a while back about the taste, flavor and temperature. I've even vaped in his office while on a conference call. I think I'll work on getting him into it so if he feels the need he can get his fix without lighting up.

I did. I quit when I was 21 and picked it up a couple of years ago, but only this last year have I found gear that truly satisfies me (I'm 28 now). I started because I have issues that I find nicotine helps with, and for the hand to mouth habit. I started with 0mg nic and after I read more about nicotine started slowly increasing it. Went up to 6mg but because I sub-ohm I didn't enjoy that as much and settled on 3mg.

I quick smoking several years ago using Wellbutrin and gum. However, I just couldn't seem to get off the gum, even though I hate chewing gum. A couple of years ago, I was at the point where I really felt like I was going to start smoking again. I decided to check out ecigs and have been vaping ever since.
