Just wrote Jack an e-mail concerning my last order. First of all, Jack is a fantastic guy (educated me via phone for a long time). Anyway, I ordered the SmokeTech 1.7 ohm SINGLE coul cartos in xxl. First order were 5, 2 DOA. However I thoight it was no big deal since the working ones were the best cartos I've EVER used (GG Stealth). I loved them so much that I ordered another 15 even though I'm based out of Canada (plus no US supplier has these). Got the new batch about 3 weeks ago. 11 out of 15 were unuseble. Most of them were straight DOA, the others had a terrible chemical tast/smell and would't vape either. I am wondering if I got a bad batch or if that's the norm. Anybody experienced the same problem. Again, there are not the dual but single coil 1.7 ohm xxl. I really hope this was just a case of bad luck. Got very frustrated when I dilled up the last one with the rest of my fave COV juice and again, wasted a lot of juice. Smoking an analog right now bc I'm so frustrated. I know it's not Happy Vapo's fault and hope that I just got 2 bad batches. When they work, there is nothing comparable. Hufe vapor, great taste and they last a very long time. I don't think Jack has a warranty on cartos, but hope we can make it somehow right. Anybody else having the same problem? Thanks a lot and I love Jack's dedication and HP :)

I gave up on the VPX tank because of the same issue with the Boge 3ohm punched cartos. 1st one worked well for 3 weeks, 2nd would not wick - horrid taste etc, 3rd was giving burnt taste with every other puff. I also tried a Dual Coil 1.5ohm XL - worked ok for a couple of days & started flooding. After 3 failed cartos in a row, I picked up a Vapemate from HV. I've had it for a month now, & absolutely enjoy it. Just stock up on some attys & you're good to go. No more wicking & flooding, burnt taste to deal with.

I've vaped over 100 of those cartos and only once got a dead shorted one (back in August). From experience, upon first filling and firing, if there's any Dry spots on the fabric stuff around the coil they will burn and taste chemically or very yukky! I toss those ones as there's no way of vaping through it. Occasionally when I over-filled and placed off to the side for 3 or more hours they have still burnt on me.

Good news!
Fill the Smoktech 1.7 single coils up with the condom method and you shouldn't waist anymore to singing. I fill the bootie just past 3/4 full and plunge the threaded end in. I then drop a few more drops in the top and replace the white rubber bung. Then I remove the juiced bootie and wipe the threaded end with a Kleenex and Blow through the Carto in the Kleenex to remove any excess. When the Carto starts running dry I top up from the mouth end.

These cartos give great flavour on the Happy eGo!!

Thanks for your guinput. I love these cartos so much on my GG Stealth, thatks why I ordered from Canada. Can't imagine using different ones, BUT I don't have the money to afford throwing 90 percent of my order away. I would have dealt with 5 DOA's but almost all of them is just too much. Happy Vaporare great, gave me a call right after theygot my mail. Wasn't home but will call back today and hope we can figure something out.

I've been using these cartos exclusively on all my devices for probably 6 months now.

To the op, my most recent batch had more duds then I've ever encountered before, so it is quite possible that a bad batch went out. I've heard questionable things about smoketech's QC, but I have been lucky so far. I still say they're the best cartos available for 3.7 mods, even with the recent problems.

And jack is the man, I'm sure he'll be more then helpful and will help you with your DOA stuff.

yep.. I ordered from another supplier... 4 out of 5 in a box were unusable... Waste of Juice... They start tasting burnt after 5 hits... I tried the condom, the drip 52 drops, the syringe etc.. Done with Smoktech 1.7
I have about 31/2 boxes of these left from MyVaporStore. I hope they are not all bad!!

Do you have the XXL ones with the rubber mouth piece? And if so, do you sell online? The first batch I bought was in December, the last one about a month ago. The first bactch had a few bad ones, the last one like I said, 12 out of 15 were a dud. The ones I like (if they work are labeled SMOK on the bottom of the carto. Let me know if you have those and I might take another chance.
As for Jack, I know he will work with me, I just have to return the call, been so busy. Used the "rejuvenators" since all my ST are used up but the vapor and hit is just not comparable.
I snapped when I got another bad batch of double coils from COV and 1 our of 5 worked somewhat. I want to stick to the above single coil SMOK labeled ones (abd HV seems to be the only ones carrying these). Hope you sell online Ladyvapor.

The rejuvenators from CCV are the same as the Smoktech 1.7Ω single coil from Happy Vapor, just house branded for CCV. A few companies are getting them house branded by Smoktech which adds about a buck per box to the retailers cost plus they have to buy in huge volume for the branding. The House Branded ones usually have the green soft plastic wrapper and the regulars usually have the clear wrapper.

I agree the quality on these cartos have slipped some. On average, ones manufactured pre-September seemed to have a cleaner taste and way less burning misshapes when not condom filled. It seems the ones made from the fall onward are possibly tighter wrapped around the coil or the batch of fabric used for the coil liner wasn't as good with wicking.

Since switching to condom filing I've had very little problems with these Carto unless I forget to top up. Keep em wet! I still prefer the smoktech 1.7Ω single coil over the Boge LR as I get more flavor with 1.7Ω and I found the Boge filler to Fluff up choking the air draw especially when bottom feeding.

The rejuvenators are a bit smaller. The xxl ST from HV are holding more juice and come with a rubber tip. I tried to find those in the US, no luck though.

Hey Silverrocks!

I think it was me that left you the message! But, glad I found you here!

Here's what MIGHT be happening, because you're using them on your GG Stealth, if you're using it fresh off a charge, it will actually run at about 4 volts, which could be just enough to fry this extremely low res carto! If that seems to be happening, (doing it when it's freshly charged), we'd suggest running the battery down with a higher resistance carto, then swap it out to the LR again.

Another factor that could be giving you some trouble could be your liquid! Are you using something with a high VG content? If so, it's probably too thick to wick quickly enough! Try it with a thinner liquid and see it that helps!

Not to completely rule any of that out, but I've been using these single 1.7 with 18650 devices and 100% VG for months now without issues. I assure you, unless theyre being vaped dry, the 4.2v shouldn't fry them.

I do maintain my latest batch has been the worst, and even Jack has mentioned to me how smoketech's quality control leaves much to be desired! Hopefully it's just a crappy batch.
