The problem is that madvapes was the only one making them, but they wholesale to other companies. At first demand wasn't that high But the rebuildables crowd picked up on them and supply couldn't keep up with demand. As of right now I've seen that Sunny Vaping is getting ready to make their own version as is Sigelei, so it shouldn't be too long and supply should catch up. I managed to snag one from madvapes and it's a handy little bugger, but not worth the $70 they are going for on ebay.

I don't know if I like those or not. They have a built in rechargeable battery which would be ok if you use it for half an hour or more a day and recharge fairly often but I use mine maybe once a week for 2 minutes. I'd be concerned that the battery would go dead before I got a lot of use out of it.

I built my own... I also added an on/off switch because I used 2016 button cells and did not want to buy more.

just solder on a 2 dollar 510 battery top to jumpers - plug them into a regular cheap volt/ohm meter for 10 bucks. works for me.

Why not just use your vv/ww mod? like a Provari, Vamo, etc. Are they not accurate enough?

I didn't get one. I am thinking about building my own using a 510 to Ego adapter and building it into a block of wood to serve as a building base then run leads out of the bottom to a separate DMM. This will give a stable base to build on and "live" readings as I adjust the coil if needed.

I just use the ohm meter that's inside my pvd. seems to work well. yep last build still holding steady at 1.8 ohms
