Well, I just cashed in my second $10 rebate certificate from FT.

You get a rebate of 1 penny for every dollar spent.

And that's mostly hardware; I get most of my juice from US vendors.....

Really? I must check my account with them... Lots of free stuff coming my way :)

Well I'd say that I'm finally in a position where I can buy the things I've wanted, so I am lol. I've had a few vv/vw's and a couple of mechs, but didn't really know what kind of vaper I was. I just started dripping, annnnnd that's for me! I'll probably still use my vv/vw's on the go, but love the rba/rda/RTA's muuuuuch more. And of course that's where you get into spending lots of $$$!

USRN,

I should mention a couple of things:
1. It takes (I think) 2 months between when you make the purchase and when the points are activated. If you go to the "rebate points" page of your account it will show you what you've got.

2. I think the only way to convert points to a certificate is to aske (using a service ticket). If there's a way to do this yourself I couldn't find it (let me know if I'm wrong!)

3. In order for it not to take 6 e-mails back-and-forth, you should mention all the following things in your first e-mail:

a) You have 10 points or more in your account
b) You understand that the rebate certificate is good for only 60 days
c) You would like them to convert the points to a certificate now.

HTH!

People on ECF obsessive about vaping? Perish the thought...

Now let's see. In the last few months I have gotten a ZNA, bought and sold a gunmetal Zenesis Medius, bought an MVP 2, Vision Spinner 2, 2 copper Quasars, an R91, an ehpro kfl v2, an aerotank mini, a copper kayfun drop kit, a few higher end drip tips involving copper, a copper stingray clone...

Nope. No obsessing.

I've only been at this for less than 3 months so I would appreciate the opinions of some vape veterans on whether or not I have joined the ranks of the vape obsessed. Here of some of the reasons I suspect I may have.

1. I've spent about twice on vape gear than i've saved by quitting smoking.
2. I have a high end mech mod hidden so my wife doesn't know I've bought another one.
3. I spend at least an hour a day here on ECF.
4. I keep going to local vape shops even though I don't plan on buying anything.
5. I have enough E-Liquid to last till winter.
6. I now pronounce Provari correctly (i think).
7. I now check for the mail - been married 36 years and never did that before.
8. I have YouTube subscriptions to 8 different reviewers and have begun to say "sick as "t**ts"

I started vaping 6 months ago with the intention of quitting smoking and saving money. Is one out of two ok? Lol...I've definitely become an obsessed vaping hobbyist, spent nearly three times what I've saved on cigs, but loving every minute of it. Went from blus to protanks to genny's to drippers and now I only use my two REOs all day.

I've spent a fortune on liquid but happy with the vamo (the batteries I got with it are poor though so I will be buying more).

When I find the right liquid for me then I'll be spending around £7 a fortnight but to date, over £300 :(

Consider DIY. My juice cost me about $0.07/ml (US Dollars) which translates to about 0.04 British Pound Sterling/ml

What about those new 26650 mods ? I could not resist getting the Hades ! What a machine ! That's what I though as I ordered mine. .... and what a beast !

3 months a vapor and already with a Magneto, a VTR, 3 Zeus and now the Hades 26650 . ( btw the Zeus are my no 1 ). I can see from the forum that I am far from being alone in my quest.

I bought an eGo V3 spinner with DBC aspire tank 2 weeks ago. The same day I knew some mod was in the not distant future.

I had my last cigarette 11 days later.

Yesterday I bought a Provari, 510 aspire DBC tank and a Nautilus.

I am now waiting to recover on my investment to get a Taifun or a Squape. That could come sooner if some extra money unexpectedly comes in...

I am now considering 2 more mods: one for stealth vaping and a VW for rebuilds

So, 2 weeks in and nearing on 500$ of expenditures and already went through almost 40mL of juice while planning to spend another +/- 500$ on hardware before the end of the year could qualify me as obsessed... just not sure on that one

My first year of vaping was spent searching for the perfect mod and eliquid delivery system. I found it in the Reo Grands and RM2. Plus cartos for my woodville reo. Nothing else tempts me anymore :D

eta: My nic juice is 3mg Unflavored Nicotine Base so i am stocked up!
I totally agree with this. Only problem is, now I can't stop buying Reo's!

I WANT TO GO OFF THE DEEP END, but the boss....I mean my wife, won't let me. So what I have had to do is figure out how much I am saving by not smoking and then only spending half that on vaping gear.
"Hey honey, you know how stressful this month has been at work, right? Well, I'm sure I would have smoked like a chimney all this month if I still smoked. At least, um..... $700 worth of cigarettes. So I can spend $350 on vape gear, right?"

I quit smoking cold turkey in April of 2000. At a conservative estimate of $4 a pack that's $20,000 I didn't spend on smokes, so the couple grand (another conservative estimate) we've spent on vaping as a hobby still means I get to spend a lot before it's a problem. Right?!?! :D

So look at all of the money you won't spend on analogs in the next 20, 30, 50 years. Problem? Naaaah. :D
