I think my taste buds have recovered because the liquids I enjoyed from the start now taste not so good. Same thing for the carts that came with my Tornado. When I first got them, they tasted like hazelnut and sweet-now they taste terrible. At first I thought my liquids went south...now I think it's my taste buds. Even the clove cigarillos that were once ok (and only ok) taste like crap. I rolled a cig the other night as I still have supplies for that and I just wanted one...and it tasted like crap too.

I've been vaping for 3 weeks. Anyone else notice this too?

Yup, I've had it happen at least 2x in a major way and each time it lasted for 2 or 3 days. Miserable and no real explaination for it. I've been vaping for just over a year.

I does go back to normal (or what ever that is) though. I just pull out other liquids that I don't normally use... a few days later, bam... it's back to my usual juices and it tastes fine.

A mystery...

My taste buds did that too, but my liquid I have still tastes good to me. The only change I noticed is that food and drink tasted better and cigs taste like crap. But thats a good thing that the cigs taste so bad now, cause I will never pic one up again.

Welcome to the club! :) It seems that we all go through this to varying degrees. I'm at about 7 weeks vaping and I still have the odd day where my e-liquids taste "off".

I thought I was the only one who liked the carts that came with the Tornado.
They tasted sweet and nutty... The taste change on those pre-filled carts I chalked up to the fact that they were varying nic strengths and some tasted better than others  but I probably just hit another "off" day.

When I have an "off" day I just stick with the e-liquid I use as my tried and true friend. For some reason, it manages to hold it's own on those days and gets me through.

Certain things I've eaten can effect my taste as well.

I still find it odd that when I was smoking, I never really cared to analyze the taste, nor was I so picky about the nuances and details

Your tastebuds are actually very basic - sweet sour salty - they don't go much beyond that. Your nose however, much more sophisticated. Its not 'really' your tastebuds taht change its your ability to smell, and smelling too much of the same smell (read flavor also) will give you an overload. Your ability to smell that odor will lessen for a few hours or even a day. If you don't believe me, try it with perfume until it smells different.
One tip is to completely switch the type of smell you are inhaling. if youve been inhaling on sweet go sour for a day. Go as opposite as you can to give your 'smell receptors' a break.
Another tip is to use 'nasal irrigation' (hmmm..lol) or the 'Neti pot'.
Yet another is 'do nothing but don't smell strong flavors' and sleep can also put things to rights.
Smoking, giving UP smoking and vaping ALL affect this process, so you may find your 'issue' lasts anything from a few hours to a few DAYS; but it WILL improve. It also may repeat as your nose is now working full time (overtime, even) so if you want a break, you must vape less and irrigate more.

I'v had similar taste problems during the past 2 weeks of vaping.
Started about 4 days in and I could not taste the mint choc liquid, but it tasted awful. I thought my atty was up the wall or lack of juice at first but it just seemed to be the tastebuds going mad!

The next day seemed better and then was ok again. It's happend to me twice in the past two weeks but I expect its normal from what I have read here.

Other strange thing was that I had some carrots with my dinner the other day and they tasted weird, almost like water but it could have just been the carrots

I also had a apple and blackburry pie today and it's the best I have ever tasted so I think my buds are getting there slowly :)
