Anyone else try 5v and still prefer 3.7?

I think there are a lot more people who try HV and don't like it than you might think. It could have a lot to do with what kind of analogues you preferred too. I liked a firm packed smooth smoke, so I never did have super heated smoke in my mouth.

With money tight (and a new baby doesn't get cheaper down the road either) then why not try making a nico stick before you buy more mods. I bought quite a few of the makings and now if one should break it takes me all of 10 minutes to make a new one at a cost of about $12. (starting from scratch today that could run you a couple of dollars more)

All the instructions are on this site, they are really clear and its easy to do.

I definitely agree. I recently sold my GLV because I've made the three mods and only have two hands.:D Some of us may take being somewhat handy for granted, but it's really not that difficult to make a mod using the info, suppliers here on the forum.
