I just got an evic, a great upgrade from my twist and a cheap step into something more advanced. Im on day 3 and I just dont like the silver. I have painted a lot of car parts with plasticote paint. Just wondering if anybody else has painted there tubes and what paint did you use? How did it hold up?

I haven't but I can't see if being too difficult. I have painted many computer parts both metal and plastic. Prep the surface properly so it will adhere. Make sure not to paint threads and such...or vent holes.
Or you can buy a wrap from J-Wraps. I have several and love them. When you get tired of one color, you can always change it because they can be removed with no residue left.
I just bought a roll of carbon fiber look alike from a local auto store. Cover and cut with a razor.

if you can paint it nice ive painted batteries before, works great. Just not as easily removable as a wrap
Overlaps about 1/4" and is not noticeable at all. It is textured and feels like real carbon fiber and for the cost of one JWrap I did all my mods and have about 4 foot left over.
Powder coating is pretty amazing in terms of durability and shock resistance. Its the preferred surface finish for military electronic equipment, that's the best testimonial possible ...
