I'm getting an eVic for Christmas and I'm very excited but frankly it's a bit boring looking. So I started looking for skins and while I found three sites that carry eVic wraps, the selection is a bit limited (Imo) and I couldn't find anything that I liked.

But I was going through my email and saw one from decalgirl (I bought a cellphone skin from them) and it was like well duh. They carry a huge selection of skins for cell phones, tablets, laptops and all kinds of other stuff and they have a HUGE selection of designs. As of now they don't carry anything ecig related but they add things all the time (like gaming system skins and all kinds of stuff)

I sent them an email through their suggest a device form explaining pretty much the first two lines of this thread and that I think there could be a market for them there. I wont hear anything for a while as their support center starts at 8 est

But I am curious, if they were to begin carrying skins for mods would you be interested? And what mod would you suggest/request they carry?

Hi Sally!

I personally wouldn't put a skin on my eVic, mostly because everything I have ever skinned looked AWFUL when the edges start peeling. That said, I suppose if there was a skin that REALLY caught my attention, I would consider it. I don't like the boring look of the eVic, but I would rather spice it up with a custom tube rather than a skin. Now if I could only find a good telescoping tube, or maybe a nice bronze steampunk setup, the eVic would be perfect!

Well devauto if there is a skin design that can catch your eye Decalgirl probably has it. And as a user of their products i can vouch for their quality and durability. I have a skin on my cell that I've had on for a year and a half and it looks the same as the day i put it on and trust me I don't baby it. Ugh, I feel like I sound like a sales rep, but I'm hoping if I can get people interested (and possibly going to the site and request their mod) that they may take a serious look at adding ecig mods to their long list of products they make skins for.

I got an email back from decalgirl they said they added it to the list of devices that the development team would look into it to see if it's marketed well or if they get a great response from consumers and they add 4-5 devices a month so they're always looking for new things. I'm actually really encouraged, the thought crossed my mind there could be a chance they wouldn't want to work with ecigs. so how about ya'll send them some request for your mod too. --- https://www.decalgirl.com/support/suggest.htm

Keep in mind that most of those sites can make a wrap using any design on their site for any device that they offer skins for. As someone else mentioned, they can also do custom skins with any image you desire.

I've seen where they can make custom skins, but can they make a skin with artwork from a show, movie, game, or sports team etc that are considered 'licensed' images? I know there could be legality issues for the producers and I wouldn't want to ask them get into murky territory there. I know several skins I would like includes those images, and Decalgirl has licensing agreements that allow them to produce those skins.

.. Just so it doesn't seem like I'm arguing just to make my point I'll give an example of a skin I want. I want a Nightmare Before Christmas Skin. Yes, I'm 20 something.. and it is techically a kids movie.. but I'm one of those people who collects all kinds of that merch *hides under my Jack Skellington blanket* Don't Judge lol

I have used Decal Girl's skins on many of mine and my family's devices for many years. IPhones, iPads, laptops, Kindles, iPods etc. All look awesome and never ever peeled. Even my old Sony PRS eReader from about 6 years ago, and hundreds of hours of reading, still looks great.

However, JWraps may be more suitable for ecig stuff since they already have the templates and cater specifically for ecigs.

In what way weren't you impressed?

Dragon I had adherence and discoloration in less than a week. Was sent a replacement- same thing. Figured maybe they were grabbing skins from a bad batch so contacted again but CS was just simply rude for no reason. Like I said, that was years ago. I never ordered anything else from them again because of that.

Wow, you were unlucky :(. They once sent me a skin for a different model device than what I ordered, when I contacted them they were so helpful and immediately FedExed me the correct one and let me keep the other one. Personally, I have about 5 of their skins in current use (other family members have more). Glossy and Matt, all perfect quality and never ever peeled or faded in the slightest.

I sent them an e-mail. I went to their site and I really liked the artwork that they had. So pretty. And lots of it is very unique. I would personally love it if they made skins for PV's too.
I'll keep my fingers crossed....
Good luck!!

Maybe the person I dealt with was having a bad day.
