Yes and yes.

Occasionally I'll come across a review that has no spoken word, just a straight forward demonstration of assembly and use of the device being reviewed.

Ones like that are golden.

Pretty much all the other reviews bore me to tears. Busardo is about the only reviewer that has a sense of his audience and he tends to be long winded.

I rarely watch videos anymore. I got tired of watching people blowing big clouds of vapor obscuring themselves from the camera just to make a point. That part is mostly about the lighting that's used rather than how much vapor the device produces anyway. And I also got tired of the same lines most of the "reviewers" use. Most of those lines have become cliché in the vape world so they've lost a lot of their effectiveness and power of persuasion.

I find how to videos much more benifit than the review videos because review videos are subjective and basically just the opinion of said reviewer which does not really mean a thing in most cases. Because vaping is a very personal thing I just take reviews with a grain of salt so to speak. Unless it's a very negative review, then I will listen to the points of it and make my own decisions. There are so many people reviewing items vape related I hardly watch them. However I've found a good step by step how to video very valuable. Even those are getting harder to find a good clear how to. But yes I agree that there are far to many review videos.

I have always preferred text reviews. It's very much harder for someone to waste time in a text review, and the reviewer has to control his thought processes a little more imho. It's also much quicker to read a text review than sit through the whole of a video review "in case you miss something".

Very few reviews offer anything new or unique.

It's always the same mods or attys we know are good already.

And every singly time it's "it hits like a truck!"

Just fishing for general opinions.

Sent from my iPhone.

My sentiments exactly. It is nice to see a new product exhibited demonstrating the features however only time will tell for durability. The E liquid reviews are even worse. Taste is so subjective. Add to all this the question is always in the back of my mind is this an honest review? It appears so many of these so called reviews are merely a method of obtaining free items for personal use or "kickbacks" (Did I day that that! Perhaps affiliate payments is the accepted term). I am spending less and less time on YouTube and fast forwarding more and more.

The only reviewer I don't get tired of is PBusardo. He always gives in depth reviews and covers all the bases. He never pulls punches and tells it like it is.

Also he is more committed to helping people stay off cigarettes. In fact that has been a recent theme of his reviews. Stating it doesn't matter if you use a Cig-A-Like or whatever and or you don't have to spend a lot of money. Just as long as what you are using keeps you from going back to smoking tobacco.

I just unsubscribed from one. He always uses Facebook for his giveaways and I don't do Facebook. Not only that but his reviews are always this is good and it is always about dripping and blowing Clouds.
I don't drip, don't plan on dripping (Ever) and don't care to spend any more money on hardware. Especially on a dripper or a Mech Mod.

To me blowing Clouds is obnoxious. Especially if you do it all the time. Sure I like a good cloud of vapor exhale now and then. But I can get that from my Kayfun's and a surprise tank I picked up at my local B&M. An Eleaf iJust tank.

Actually the Kanger Mini PT 3 I'm presently vaping on is giving me clouds if I want it, or not if I don't.

Except when he is talking about Zen's products. I always felt as though that was the one thing he didn't give an honest review about. I felt like his friendship got in the way of an honest review. While I will still watch an enjoy a good Pbusardo video every once and a while, I feel like I lost some respect for his "honest" reviews on that one.

Granted, this is all speculation on my part. Maybe he did like the Zenesis as much as he claimed he did. The world will never know.....

A "how to" text with pictures is much better for me. I can quickly go back, check my work, take long looks at the pictures. I learn more and I generally have a product closer to the described end product. As to "review videos", the point of the OP, I prefer to come to ECF and read people who actually use (or become frustrated attempting to use) the product on an every day basis. I have made more purchase decisions based upon these members than any reviewer.

I watched a lot of those review videos when I was first starting out, not so much anymore. If I'm looking at getting a new mech or genny I'll check out the reviews, but some of them can be pretty obnoxious, with the raging loud heavy metal music and wild video effects in the intro, and I just close out of the ones that start that way. Then there are the Joe Cool reviewers with all their street slang and backward baseball caps, tats and piercings loudly going on and on about this awesome thing, and it just turns me off. Meh!

If I want to see anything reviewed I'll take PBusardo over them all any day.

Well I partially disagree. When he has actually reviewed Zen a product it was more about the DNA chip used in them and he didn't pull any punches on the chip.

Zen actually does make a good product. Not my style as for the semi tube mod. Don't care for the chip, screen and switche/button hump. I'd rather have a longer tube only. But then I don't care for box mods either.

Zen does have something with his ZEN coat. But I'm not rough enough on anything I own to bother with something like that.
Provape is actually using the ZEN coat on some of their tubes. Expensive.
