Anyone got a better method for filling cartos?

Been using the condom method. But then last week I took the mouth piece off, and watched the fill using the condom method. And discovered that this method does not really give the carto a complete fill- even using a condom 3/4 of the way filled up, still left empty/dry areas in the carto. Plus with some of the thicker juices, the juice would start coming out of the mouth piece very quickly because it wasn't soaking into the fiber fast enough. So it would give the impression of the carto being full, when it actually wasn't. I was wondering why I was only getting an hour (or so) of use. That pretty much explained it.

Since then, I have been doing a modified version of top fill along with Taryn spin: I remove the mouth, I stick one of those "plugs" into the battery end, and put a condom on that end. I then flood the carto with juice. When it is flooded, I put the mouth piece back on, put it into a zip-lock bag and spin it by hand for a few seconds. Repeat this a couple times. I easily get 3-4 hours of use from a carto doing this. But it seems like a PITA and a lot of effort.

So anyone got any easier methods?

I gave up on them and just switched to the clearomizers now. I do feel your frustration though....................I have tried all different methods and it was just to much work for the convenience.

hmm .... I have discovered .... when my pre-filled cartos start to lose flavor .... I drop about 4 drops into that tiny hole on the battery side of the carto. then I just vape away ... I do this constanly every hour or so. Never had a problem. Every time I try to fill an empty cart all the way to full I end up with a mess of juice all over everything ...lol. So thats my method and Im sticking to it!

mistress nomad has a video on youtube called care and feeding of KR808D1's where she shows her method of filling cartos cartomizer refill technique...I use her technique along with the top filling 45 degree angle dripping. I no longer use the condom method after discovering this technique...it works that well! It works for all cartos, but especially well for bloog maxxfusion cartos, since they have a horizontal atomizer bridge at the bottom of the carto. The bloog maxxfusion are the best if you have a kr808d1.

Drip blow drip blow all from the top. As long as you don't drip down the center, no mess and they get full every time.

I learned a long time ago I stuck one into the condom to fill and just walked away.
The next day I started using it and it seemed like it would never go dry. Lesson learned, so now I do them all that way.

I'm guessing you don't vape nearly as much as I do. Condom method they last about 1-2 hours for me (max). And do as I mentioned in the original post- take the top off while doing the condom method and you'll see that it doesn't fill it completely. Last night I took a brand new carto and drip filled it- it took 32 drops! You can't even fit 32 drops in a condom. Then I did the swing with it and got another 5 drops in it. So 37 drops- good luck getting that many in with the condom method.

I take that back. The megas work only in the PigCig. However, I do have XL 808 cartos from Nhaler that hold much more juice than standard (about 1.8 ml?) and work on my standard 808 batts.

I fill by popping off the white carto cap, holding the carto at a 45 degree angle & dripping a few drops in at a time (to the side of the carto, to slide down into the batting so it doesn't go down the center & flood it) while rotating the carto to disperse it evenly, waiting several seconds for it to soak in & then continuing until the carto is soaked. If the last of the liquid stays pooled up on top of the batting & doesn't soak in, I'll do a quick Taryn spin to get it down in there but I do NOT use the Taryn spin in an attempt to get more juice in or make it soak up faster. I tried this in the past & it always resulted in flooded cartos with juice dripping out of the battery hole. Using this method, I get about 25 drops in a standard carto & 40 or so in an XL.

Im a dripper myself, but every now and then I do have an occasional carto. I tried every method out there and ended up simply using the carto with a drip tip and topping off every 40 puffs or so with a few drops. This way youll get to keep your carto constantly wet and this will pay off; both performance and long-lasting-wise!

Actually Rosco is right... The thing is, N2rock: The condom-method could be carried out with more than 2/3s of the condom; it may even be done this 'extreme' way:
Remove caps, insert condom down the threaded end and drip onto filler until liquid pools... Then you could cap with the other carto-condom and go for Taryn-spin or 'shake-down' the carto and resume dripping. If you let carto sit with more liquid over night it shall absorv further... Steeping the carto afterwards for a while may help a bit more...
Remember to always wipe the threaded end clean before vaping...

the actual condom method (filling the condom then putting the carto down it) does not fill the carto completely. I'm tellin ya, you simply can not fit enough into a condom to properly fill the carto. The last 2 brand new cartos I have filled by dripping directly into it- one required 37 drops, the other required 40 drops to fill. You simply can not fit that much into a condom.

Your "extreme" way is the way I did it, and that is not really the "condom" method, because you are not filling the condom and thinking the carto is full. That is use a top fill method and using a condom to prevent leaking. That is the way I always do it now as I described in my original post
