Just picked up a Ipod Touch for me and the wifey and I'm wondering what apps everyone uses day to day? There's just such an overwhelming amount out there and review sites don't really cover the wide variety that's out there, so I'm turning to the fine people of ECF to give me some guidance :)

Here's what I have so far:

Earth 3d
...
Pandora
Shopsavvy
Wooo! button

Not really looking for games so much (have enough of those on my phone lol), just maybe some apps that will help with day to day organizing and maybe a few "neato" apps. Thanks in advance!!

I have a jailbroken ipod touch and there are a ton of great apps out there.
It really depends on what kinda apps your into.

If your into racing games... the need for speed ones are great.

As far as music apps... guitar rock tour 2, & tap tap revenge (my favorite is tap tap NIN).

RPGs... Wolfenstein RPG, Zenonia is one of my all time favorites, & Inotia (a wanderer of luone) is good.

Puzzle type games... Bejeweled 2, Enigmo, & Peggle.

If you like shooters... Wolfenstein 3d is an exact port of the very first FPS ever made, N.O.V.A. is a pretty good Halo clone that even has 4 player ffa online, & COD world at war Zombies has 4 player co-op online (a little hard to get used to the controls though)

Tower defence... Fieldrunners, StickWars, & defender Chronicles.

also rolando, touch grind, spore, and i dig it are very good.

There is also a podcast for people who vape that you should really check out. Its called Vaporcast, and I heard about it here on the forums. (very entertaining & informative)

Ok i just realized you said you arent looking for games, and thats about all I listed here LOL.
Sorry about that..

Mostly all the apps I have on my ipod are games, but AppVee is a good free one that shows reviews and videos of allot of the most popular apps available, google earth is neat, & AppSniper is very usefull for getting apps that you want when they go on sale.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys (and gals if any :D ). I was completely unaware that Dropbox had an Iphone app! I also picked up the Kindle app and a recipe app called AllRecipes for the Mrs. Here's what else I've gotten so far:

Newegg
Weatherbug
Howcast
Southpark Avatar creator
WoW Armory (thinking about getting the Authenticator too)
Yelp
iChuck (and yes, it's a Chuck Norris app  )

Oooh I missed this one! Yes I got iPod touch! She is 8 gig and she is basically used to play golf. I listen to music too but its the golf games from the app store I like!!

She is not jailbroken just yet, I have the hacked PSP and DS for emulators and playing with homebrew!

It won't be long before she is getting flashed

I've got 12 pages (springboards) worth of stuff (a TON of games for me and my kids!) but the top apps I use (that I don't think were mentioned yet) are:

Stanza - Great book reader program - When I got my iphone I didn't think it'd be big enough to read books on but I LOVE it!

Zillow - It can be useful for anyone in the construction or real estate markets.

MyPhone+ - A very helpful add-on app (allows pics with contacts).

Was introduced to kind of an neat one that is free right now.
It's called Knocing Video. You have to make an account and then it allows you to "knock" one of your friends and stream live video to thier phone.

I currently am using:
Sin Finder: Helps locate bars, casinos, theatres, clubs and smoke shops near you
X-rayFX Pro: So I can do pretend x-rays on my patients (great lulz)
Lightsaber
Emergency Radio
Bebot
RedLaser Scanner
Retro Recorder
EMF Detector (Shush, I don't like ghosts sneaking up on me.. or robots)
Slacker

I love iPhone for making me realize how much useless crap there is out there that I can't live without.

I also play Words with friends, I suck at it..if anyone wants a game PM me :)
