So this morning my wfe, whom I love dearly and is pregnant at the moment, got all up in my .... because I all I care about is vaping. Obviously not true. She has been a big support through it all but finds that I am "creepy" when all I do is talk about vaping and ohms and PVs. I can see her point I guess since I am constantly drooling over all of the different mods that are out there and placing fantasy orders online. But creepy? Personally i don't see anything wrong with spending some time researching and learning and keeping stocked up on everything. I'm sure that if she doesn't come home today and kick me out of the house for being a creepy vapehead it will all work out. More of a rant and rave here than anything. I thank the ECF community for everything they do and all the help I have recieved from all of you. God knows if I weren't able to discuss these things with you all what I would be called next. Guess I'll head into therapy and explain my lifestyle and hobby to her. I would bet, however, that my therapist would say that there is nothing wrong with having something like this to put yourself into. So ECF, am I a creepy ahole or what? Love you guys.

between here and there
Probably more cause she is pregnant than anything else. Those hormones are funny beasts. She is also jealous of this new hobby you have and it takes time from her. Since she doesn't smoke it is hard for her to get excited about it. Tell her now that you are off analogs, you will be around a whole lot longer and this obsession will calm down after a bit.

I'm wondering if it's the faze of the hobby? I started megga couponing about 4 years ago, I talked about coupons & deals all the time..now, I probably shop at 5 times the rate I did in the beginning, but I don't talk about it nearly as much. Maybe the newness of it will wear off & you will just do & not talk so much about what you're doing?

Call her on her cell and ask her to stop and pick you up a pack of cigs........ because you have been thinking about what she said and don't want people to think you are creepy with this e-cig thing.
No - don't do that. That's something like I would do. And I'm divorced.

:lol::lol::lol: Thank you for the laughs!!

To OP, my hubby thinks I'm either obsessed, or possessed... I forgot the exact phrasing of that argument.

You could do this and sleep on the couch, or just chalk it up to hormones, and realize the fun is just about to start!

You're not creepy at all..and Vaping isn't creepy i think specifically in your situation..she says it because you both are "expecting" and she may feel like you care more about your PV and ohms:vapor: thank her and the baby!! Haha... just my 2 cents...

Take a break from ECF and us and take her baby stuff shopping and out to dinner.Dont talk about vaping, just talk about her and the baby.
+1 to this suggestion, Keyz is always right.

I too talk about e cig related stuff to a still smoking Hubie, manly in hopes he switches. But inundating a hormonal prego may not be the best idea no matter the subject.

It's true though . . . the excitement about what this world can do it overwhelming, but outsiders will think it to be strange. Keep the enthusiasm about vaping here, and enthusiasm about child rearing at home. :)

Might not hurt to empathize with your wife for a second. Imagine if her favorite thing was knitting potholders. I have no idea what that's all about but imagine if you had to listen to how many stitches it took to do this thing, or how beautiful this yarn color and feel is opposed to that one. Might just drive you insane. Of course, this is assuming you do not relish the thought of knitting potholders.

<Now, I'm all for being politically correct but the line needs to be drawn somewhere. Go ahead and call me a potholder-basher...Make my day! >

I was in the same position as you. I would tell my wife about the great flavors I tried or the excitement of the great flavors yet to be tried and I got the hint from her to stop talking about them at all to her when she told me I should order the worst, nastiest flavors out there. Her opinion was why do this to enjoy it. Do this to quit nicotine and bad flavors would get me there.
I could tell by her tone that she did not share in my excitement, so I don't bring them up anymore, I share my excitement with you guys!

Hormones. That says it. Share your pv/juice excitement with us.....talk baby names and nursery items with your wife. Listen to all of us women who KNOW what she's upset about. And whoever said it (above) is right: the fun is just beginning (baby!) If you must talk vaping to her, remind her that you're doing this for her and your baby...so that you'll be around to help her raise it.
