Found this deal over on the steals and deals thread.

Was going to get the hcigar version as I know hcigar is pretty good quality for the money, doesnt mention who made this, but seems like a damn good deal. Is a clone a clone? Should I just pay the extra $15 or so and get a hcigar version?

looks just like the silver nemesis i have, i have two clones, don't know the maker of each and can tell you the brass one i have is a bit better, the air control holes are bigger and it's a bit better in terms of threading

what i did was get a clone for around that price, went over to fat daddy's and got the upgraded contact posts and magnets....at the end of the day for $25 you have a really nice dependable mod

never heard of this company and the prices are excellent, let us know how that goes for you

No... a clone isn't a clone. Sometimes, a little more cash buys your a lot nicer mech. It's much harder to tell when you compare products from various US vendors, who's costs and mark-ups are unknown - much easier to compare, at least price wise, from someone like FT.

Get them both... then you can "stare and compare" to determine if your extra $15 got you $15 worth of better fit and finish - better button - better performance.

Sometimes... you get a surprise. Worst case, the $13 one is crap, and you gift it away. ;-)

We will never know unless you buy it and report back, otherwise it will remain a mystery. If you're going to buy a clone why not buy one a good one?

good point, think im gonna go ahead and order it. My first mech so I dont exactly know what will be bad about, but im sure ill figure it out.

They do have a brass one for a couple dollars more. Maybe ill get that one, does look pretty sweet.

also its only on sale for fourth of july, so maybe it is decent cause normal price seems to be about that of most. Figured ill just jump on it while its on sale.

It will probably be fine, give a good cleaning, and order up some magnets for the switch.
