Can you carry these in you pocket and not have to worry about the glass breaking. (Even if a set of keys are in the pocket? I plan on connecting to an Ego twist battery.

I don't have one, but it has the outer aluminum shell with the window slits like an EVOD. My guess is it should be harder to crack/break than a Pro tank that doesn't have the shell.

Trying to figure out if this tank is compatible with EVOD batteries. The EVOD batteries are supposed to be compatible with all EGO threaded devices, and the ARO Pyrex BCC has an eGo connector, but unlike most eGo clearomizers or cartomizers, the ARO uses the outer threads of the eGo battery.
Eric, at DiscountVapers, says it's compatible with EVOD batteries.

How do these compare in size to the EVOD? I'm trying to imagine how they'd look on a standard 650mAh EVOD battery. Also not sure which replacement coils would be best for this battery- the 2.4ohm that comes with it, or the 1.8ohm. I'm currently using 1.8ohm heads in my EVODs.
OBDave's post #35 answered this- thanks! The EVOD is 65mm H and 14.63mm diameter. The ARO BCC is 79mm H and 15.56mm diameter.

I'm loving these Pyrex Aros (got one of every color)! :D

Sure, they gurgle and leak like every other bottom coil clearo I've ever tried, but their sleekness and added security of the metal sheathing (like an Evod) mean that they won't break as easily as a ProTank and they're cheaper. Hell, I don't even need a beauty ring with this. [I temporarily fix the leaking issue by unscrewing the base to allow air inside the reservoir, wipe all the parts down, screw the base back on, and insert a twisted tissue to clean out the airway. It seems to keep you going a bit longer, until you can refill the clearo.]

I've got about a half dozen ProTanks (3 or 4 of which I haven't even opened yet) that I grabbed when their price dropped. Wish I would have bought these first, because I'm clutzy and haven't even touched my PTs, since I got these Aros, for fear of dropping them (ProTanks make an eGo so damned top heavy).

What exactly do you mean by "leak"? I have 6 EVODS, and while I might occasionally get some gurgling, I've NEVER had one leak! I ordered 2 of these yesterday, and I'm not wild about a leaky clearo!

I can confirm that the Aro works just fine with the Evod battery. It does use the outer threads on Ego style batteries. It tops every one of my Ego threaded battery systems just fine.

It's a minor cosmetic issue, but the Aro's viewing window doesn't line up with the Evod battery button. In fact, the windows line up at 90 and 180 degrees from the button.

Considering the magnitude of my recent frustrations with my Protank using both prebuilt and my own rebuilt heads, I decided to look around more. I came across the ARO on accident and did some reading. There aren't any lengthy reviews available from any of the common names, like GrimmGreen or PBusardo, but I did find a few end user reviews pretty much saying "it's great I love it" and things like that. I figured considering the price, I couldn't go wrong. I picked up one along with a handful of extra heads.

From an aesthetics standpoint, this device looks solid. It appears to have a bigger window than the EVOD which is a nice attribute. The fact the EVOD/Protank heads evidently don't fully work with the ARO is meaningless to me. A few bucks later and I'll have my won array of ARO heads to use and eventually rebuild. The lack of removable drip tip is another one of those "who cares" things to me. As long as the drip tip is comfortable, I'm pretty okay with that. The tank size is decently acceptable as well.

I really hope this gizmo is a home run. I'm going on vacation for a week this Friday and I was hoping to have a solid device to take, unlike my bipolar Protank that works great for one head and fails hard for the next half dozen. As long as it behaves in an acceptably predictable fashion, vapes the way I'd expect and doesn't taste like burnt motor oil, I'll be a happy camper.

Some are better than others, but most of them leak on the battery for me. I've read that it's due to the internal vacuum created. Most of my juice is on the thinner side, so that may be a contributor, but they usually start to leak around the halfway (or 1/3 of the way) point of liquid. I've read that people have fixed this by adding another (or completely replacing) flavor wick above the coil, but I haven't gotten around to trying that. When it starts gurgling, I know it's time to wipe the battery and clear out the air hole. Sometimes just unscrewing the base, to allow some air into the chamber, will help equalize the internal pressure, but it doesn't last that long.

I think the bottom coil is just the nature of the beast, so I deal with it until I can find some time to fiddle with them. Top coils never seem to leak on me, but sometimes give me burnt/dry hits if I don't tip & swirl them first. Finally got a few of the replaceable-coil Stardusts (you just can't beat them for easy/mess-free filling on the road) and I'm happier.

to me the Flavor and TH are about the same as an EVOD but more Vapor on the ARO. Guess it's all perception.
I filled an EVOD and a ARO Pyrex BCC both with the same 70pg/30vg juice and tried them back to back several times and the EVOD had significantly more/better flavor. They were both on the same 3.7 volt battery, BUT, The EVOD had a 1.8ohm coil and the ARO had the standard 2.4. I'm going to order some 1.8ohm ARO coils and see if that makes a difference.

That would undoubtedly play a significant role in this case.
