so sad seeing U with dud batteries..dont throw away just yet..have U tried to resurrect them to live?..did U try and charge them on diff charger?..did U try to lift the inner pin of yr battery(by tweezer) a fraction higher(slowly rock the centre pin a little at a time and slight pull to raise the pin)..if all failed still keep it..i am sure some1 will point the way to correct it(if feasible) and bring yr batteries to live..i dont throw anything away even duds ones..never know maybe a small change and yr batteries can be saved(i am sure could be yr switch but I dont know how)..i only snapped 1 eGo battery through my own fault,i sat down with my e-cig in my back pocket..the top of the battery came apart with the wiring attached:(..wont happened again..i learnt..regards mafig ps normal battery life is 300 times charged,or 8+ months usage p/p/s hope U still vaping and not be put off by the battery issues

Anything under 1.7ohms has the potential to damage a mass-produced fat battery. And one member said cold weather can increase the chance of that happening due to temperature differences in the parts.

Also - with big batteries, never screw anything in further than needed to conenct and work, including the charger. And ALWAYS wipe the end of your battery including down in the valley around the battery center post every time before you put one on a charger. Otherwise juice film builds up and will prevent proper connection.

And I recommend trying a different vendor and a new charging cable. I also recommend using a USB to AC with 5v and at least 500mA per USB port with your charging cable, not a PC.

I have been using my 2 ego batteries for 7-8 months with LR attys or duel coil cartos.
No problems yet.
Do you have the Ego batteries with the 5 click shutoff?
Something is definitely wrong.

There was a time when Rivas were sold with 2.0 ohm attys in the kits. They had to stop because there were too many returns. That was over a year ago and things could have changed.
Look at it this way:
I know people who smoked cigarettes for years with no problems. So smoking must be OK.

Our ego 1000mah batteries have been going strong still since May there in a rotation of 3.
But have had 2 of those little chargers go bad, one thing we always do is use tissue to wipe the inside threading of the battery before putting on charge , there usually is some faint black stuff that comes onto the tissue.
