Could you show me where you're buying these for 13 bucks shipped?

I may consider adding a free shipping option. It'll be regular mail as opposed to priority..But I suppose some people don't mind a bit

The web site I came across was Smoking Everywhere with Electronic Cigarette - Buy Electronic Cigarette
Worst case price they have $12.99 for pack of five with free shipping.
If you buy 10 packs - it's $10 per pack of five.

I actually just received my order for the same cig (KR808D-1) from Canadian supplier eCigarettes Canada - Electronic Cigarettes - E-Cigarettes - Quit Smoking Aids - E-Cigs - E-Liquid - Atomizers - E-Smoking - ECigarettes - ECigs - Smoking Everywhere - Ruyan - Smokestik - E Cigarette .Roughly $8 USD for pack of 5 carts
Fast shipping too. I finally am a happy camper with their shorter two batteries and two VaporKing batts :)
But, as always, alternative suppliers never hurt ;)

dedulya,

As far as I know, those cartridges you provided a link to are one-time-use-only. So why compare them to Ben's refillable cartridges? Even if you have found an easy way to refill those cartridges, are they able to be used with 901 batteries like Ben's appear to be? Also, even if the cartridges you are referring to are both refillable, and used on a 901 battery, any attempt to compare the two would seem to be unthinkable until one knows the differences in vapor-production, juice-use efficiency, and, perhaps most importantly, typical atomizer life. IMHO.

just for some clarification , the threads on a 901 battery and the threads on Ben's new "NEBULA" are the same , but the Nebula has air flow holes in the threaded side of the battery , where as the 901 does not... so without modding a 901 battery it would not work with the Nebula.

a 901 charger WILL charge the Nebula batteries

Grimm,

Ben did mention needing to drill a hole "near the threads", but it wasn't clear as to whether he was talking about on the Nebula atomizer cartridge, or on a 901 battery. And since there is nowhere "near the threads" that a 901 battery can be drilled (nor any conceivable reason), I had assumed that he meant near the threads on the Nebula atomizer cartridge. For, the hole on the 901 atomizers is indeed near the threads. Nevertheless, if the drilling needs to be done on a 901 battery, then the only conceivable place for a hole to be drilled would be right into and/or through the threads themselves. This would admittedly be a tad more difficult than drilling a hole in the atomizer body, but at least you would need to only do it once per battery, rather than once per atomizer. Either way, it was certainly fair to point out this drilling requirement; so, thanks for the clarification.

Personally i wouldn't go drilling any extra holes in a 901 battery. If you do you stand a chance of the vaccuum switch not operating due to increased airflow above the switch.

I think what Ben was getting at was that the Nebula batteries could be charged on a 901 charger.

Whenever i get some of these cartomizers i'll sure look at one to see if it is possible to make it work with a 901 batt, although i doubt it is. I'm planning to use these on a usb mod i made using a 901 connection and a manual switch.

This should give you a better idea... It is entirely possible to modify a 901 battery to work given the right skills and a some nice drill bits + a drill press :)

...I think.

The 901 batteries *are* shorter and lower capacity, however. There are 4 air holes in the Nebula battery- can only really see one in the picture.

cartomizer..You heard it here first. I might even trademark that... ^__^

Thanks for the clarification and photo, Ben.

Since I went ahead and took advantage of the pre-sale and ordered the Nebula unit itself, my primary interest in 901 battery compatibility is in salvaging my recently acquired 901 USB passthrough. Fortunately, I have a drill press to ensure that this happens. It would, however, be worthwhile to have some little screw-on, pre-drilled adapters made.

I'm expecting the shipment around April 4th. (Give or take, you know the drill) ;)

Curious if any members are interested in a pre-sale?.

Just don't forget that April 3rd - 5th is Chinese New Year!
I have a couple large orders, and they are coming in sometime next week (I hope) due to the Holiday! Just a heads up for ya!

Haha.. Nice try Venuvious, hardly though.. ;)

Weren't you around for that? That's when they shut down for a week and everybody runs out of things!

This weekend is Qingming festival... All souls day.. Gravesweeping day.. It's traditionally a day when they honor their ancestors and clean graves, offering tokens of remembrance like incense and whatnot.

I missed this little bit last time around. That does give me an idea. I have some stripped down atomizers with the battery thread stuck in the end and a spare 901 battery connection. Would have to connect the two with some wire but that shouldn't be too hard. Would save trying to drill the 901 threads.

Hi, why not try and modify the carts instead? Just put a couple of small notches on lip of the cart using a file or dremel...it would take less than 30 seconds to do.

I am new on e-cig and my first e-cig is a smoke anywhere cig with disposable atomizer/cart. To tell you the true, I do not have anything to compare with.

I like that feature thought. I have been reading about the other models and the problems with the atomizers and I think this disposable device is great.

But using them, I found out that some times I got a nasty taste when they are near to en the liquid so I open one and found out that there is a wire that is in touch with the fabric that has the liquid. Also the wire has a little piece of what seems a nylon cord. So when the cart is running out of liquid, the fabric and the nylon cord burn a little and produce the nasty taste. Also, I do not know about what other chemicals that burn will release.

As I told you, I am new on this and do not have anything yet to compare with, but these are my conclusions.

Sorry for my limited English. I am a Spanish speaking person.

Also, I do not want to spoil the business of anyone!!

I'm just second guessing right now. I'll sure look at all possibilities once i get some of these once i see just how they sit on the threads and the construction of the atomizer part.
They will work with my usb mod just fine, i'm sure of that. Now i just have to wait till Ben gets these in.

I am not 100% sure it will work by putting notches on the cartridges...but in my limited experience whenever there has been an airflow problem I would just add a notch on the band of the atomizer and viola.... get more airflow. I am pretty sure it will work on the nebula cartridge as well (fingers crossed). Let us know your result once you get your set.

UkUsa,

If the air-flow is designed to travel through the center of the positive terminal, then I would say that your idea should work; but I suppose we won't really know what possible alternatives there are until we actually get our hands on one. Nontheless, at least we know that there is a way that will work, and that is a good place to start.

GV,

The Nebula cartridges can work with the 901 batteries, but only if you drill four small holes in the threaded connector of the battery. (See the photo that Ben posted in #28 of this thread.)

ccure,

That wick-burning taste is probably one of the reasons for the practice of topping-off one's cartridges (a practice that, done in a timely fashion, keeps the wick moist). Nevertheless, one can only top-off a refillable cartridge - like the Nebula's.
