I know it's old, but the newest version is more about fiddly bits and lacks the panache.

I come back to it every so often, whenever I get an idea about how to solve one of the problems. I just did one city to test a theory and it worked out really well (tunnels connecting Residential to Industrial). It worked out better than I'd anticipated (unfortunately, I'd forgotten a couple of previous ideas, so there are some places with traffic congestion, but they're considerably less than normal).

Please don't ask about how to get a city over the humps when starting out -- I'm all about laying out grids, segregating areas, and keeping crime, pollution, and traffic as low as possible. I use the code which makes everything free except demolition and lay out the whole city before starting the action (and I sometimes have to use the Starter City work-around because I'll spend more than $50,000 demolishing things).

Is anyone else here into it? (I won't call it "playing" because to me, it's more of a puzzle than a game.)
