Anyone know who makes the security labels on vapes?

Hi vape friends,

I'm doing some research on how companies like Elf Bar (Heaven Gifts) are increasingly adding security labels/holograms/QR codes to their products. Does anyone know where they get these? Are they made in China along with the product or is there a European manufacturer? Any insights would be much appreciated!

"I am going to post a classified wanted ad for the paper they use to print 100-dollar bills?"

    SERIOUSLY!?!?!

It's posted in a thread I posted in another sub-forum. It's just one of the companies. The new stuff is going to use RFID and other methods. Think of how an SSH key works. Difficult to defeat. There are also difficult-to-reproduce patterns in the finish of products. "security labels/holograms/QR codes" are window dressing.

It won’t ever be answered by anyone but the secret service. You might be able to make some other country’s currency (though it strikes me as unlikely) but no one makes that stuff except them. it’s supposed to be stupendously expensive for one thing. To the point that they don’t keep track of serial numbers on ones because they cost more than a dollar each to print anyway. This sounds like more of a complaint about security codes

An Elf bar was a different thing when I was young. As a result whenever I hear elf bar I get a mental picture of a Keebler elf with his hat on fire stuck in someone!s mouth.
Another one is a bunch of elves drinking. It’s the fault of that movie with the clown bar in it and what happens to mimes who dare to enter a clown bar.

China. They aren't hard to make but they can be expensive to buy.

Chinese companies selling cheap junk like vape gear aren't going to buy components or packaging from western countries (where labor costs are super-high) as it would make their end user price too high for the junk that it is.

Most vape gear is manufactured in China, even equipment sold under big names within the EU is manufactured in China. A lot has changed in China over the past 50 years, especially the past 10 years. There are parts of their STEM sector that are 30 years ahead of the United States. Their urban infrastructure is at least 100 years ahead of the United States. They still lag outside of urban areas. China has a growing middle class; it's one of the fastest-growing in the world. China is taking counterfeiting of goods seriously because they support legitimate businesses in their country. Most counterfeit items are being produced in mom-and-pop type small factories. It's below-the-radar-type operations that produce the garbage. I would check this out -- http://en.caasa.org.cn Perhaps the original poster could find some information there as well. LOL from what I gather most of the anti-counterfeiting technology is originating in China and will be sold by China. It is being used for the most part to protect Chinese businesses. What products made in the United States are being counterfeit? Perhaps whisky? Not many.

That's a city just north of Hong Kong. It's a tourist stop as well as an industrial centre. Not as built up and crowded as Hong Kong.

I had a wealthy friend who went there for business. He wanted me to go. It was a once-in-a-lifetime thing. China blew my mind. It was not what I expected.

We need to have realistic views about China if we expect to compete against them and win in STEM and business. Cold War stuff is long gone. Old paradigms will not work.

Ahh crud. I’m spelling it wrong then. There’s another one that translates as ”mountain fortres“ or “bandit camp”. It looks really similar in English. The characters are probably totally different. ”counterfiter” is close but not an exact match. It’s sometimes done in the same factory. The contracted manufacturer manufactures for the actual creators during the day and themselves at night.
With atties Counterfiets are actually sometimes better than the originals. It’s quite rare but it has happened. The safest thing to buy counterfeit are mechanical tube mods. Atties often, batteries though can be incredibly dangerous. Generally ”counterfiets“ h since I’m not spelling the real word right) skimp on finish and materials. Using cheaper metals, Sanding off sprue marks, beveling edges, etc. the more this matters generally the worse such things are. Sometimes it doesn’t much though.

He likes to travel with friends and pays for everything. I am too disabled now to fly. I could not imagine sitting that long on a plane now. If you ever get a chance to go to Asia do it. I am by no means wealthy and probably could never afford it on my own.

I can’t fly either anymore. I’m too fat. I don’t fit in airplane seats anymore. They keep getting narrower and I keep getting wider. I added a bunch to that post btw before I even saw your reply. It may be useful. Or not.

I was almost 300 at 5 foot 10, 3 years ago. I am now down to 200 or so. The biggest thing I did was stop eating out all the time. Maybe only once a month now. I also now eat around 7 or 8 small meals a day. I also started making and drinking kefir as well. As I said before I have an autoimmune disorder. My joints are bad enough without the weight. I was having to use a walker all the time. Could not put shoes on, etc, etc. It made a huge difference in my life.

If you make kefir there’s a Turkish variant called Aran(sp?). It’s unflavored extremely sour kefir and water. Tastes a bit like buttermilk. I find I quite like it. Im over 6’ but somewhere around 360. Heavier than a human should be. It causes joint problems. The lowest I ever got as an adult was 189, at which point I became concerned I was too thin.
