Been vaping for 2 weeks now and have noticed huge improvements, I can breath much deeper than I have been able to in a long time, no where near as worn out as I used to be from daily tasks, my sense of smell coming back has been overwhelming!! There are some seriously nasty smells out there!!

That returning sense of smell is the only downside I can see. As a 39 yr smoker, I could already smell stuff that almost no one else could smell. Now my husband says I'll probably be able to tell when a neighbor 3 or 4 doors down has a bad case of flatulence.

One more here with positive results: Walking up the stairs to my apartment no longer is followed by the sound of labored breathing. It did not take long. I always point out the quick turnaround on breathing/living improvement to friends considering or curious about the switch from analogs. Along with not smelling like an ashtray, having a whiter smile, not craving analogs because vaping is genuinely satisfying, and the overall lack of death, you would think it would be a no-brainer.

I have noticed big improvements. 5 months smoke free right now after smoking 15 Marlboro 100s for 25 years. After 2-3 days of quitting, I stopped with the chest wheezing and throat clearing. After about a week I noticed smells that I have not smelled since childhood! Then after another week I noticed that breathing was effortless, and that I would not struggle to catch my breath while working out. My teeth have gotten several shades whiter after 5 months. I feel great!

Not only have I felt less 'spent and breathless' ...my physician, who had diagnosed me with stage two COPD, ordered my bi-annual chest x-rays last week. I got my results today and ((drum roll)) either my COPD has reversed/downgraded or I never had COPD to start with. To be honest I am not going to over-think it. I never share online but today I was excited to get home and tell my husband, my children, and finally my fellow vapors my good news. I can't think of any other group I could even begin to share and no one think I was too worked up... ~BigOrange :)

I have been vaping exclusively for about 3 months give or take, my sense of smell and taste have improved tremendously. Not sure on lung capacity but I no longer have a cough or throat clearing on a continuous basis. I have noticed that healing takes a lot less time now as well. I'm always getting cuts and scrapes around the old farm house, maybe it just me, but it seems like they are healed and gone in a lot less time now.

Now that you mention it, I've been experiencing the same thing. I'm a little over 2 months in and all of the little cuts and scrapes that come with my job have been healing noticeably faster. I put a fairly deep gash in my index finger a couple of days ago and it is already completely closed and smooth. Bonus!

I have noticed it, & i have only been vaping 8 months! ^u^! My asthma was horrible when i smoked cigarettes. I always felt like i couldn't breathe, like my lunges where being squeezed to death, & i always needed my inhaler. Now the only time i need my inhaler is during allergy season. After i made the switch, i noticed my lunges started to i guess you'd say, fill up? Become wider? I'm not sure how you'd describe it haha. But i immediately noticed a change in my breathing. Now 8 months in i can fully take a breath, & exhale without coughing, & i don't need my inhaler NEAR as often as i used to. Only allergy season! Oh pollen, & fresh cut grass.. I hate you e-e! xD

They say after the first year you gain 7% lung capacity. Anyone notice this that is 1yr+?

The only thing I notice is I can actually sing now. lol

Oh yes. Big, big difference. I'm in a semi-rural area outside Austin proper and the "corner" where trash pick up is... about three houses down? Modest lots. Not city blocks or anything like that. The trash bin has wheels. It rolls. Wasn't carrying it. I would get winded. I mean bad. Wheezing even.

Not long ago, I emptied my storage. Alone. This included loading a gun safe into the truck by myself. Then unloading it and shoving it in the shed here at the house. By myself. Thing's almost tall as me and solid freaking metal. And I'm 52.

It's a little like turning back the clock...

A deep cut with a circular saw to my left index finger about two weeks ago is almost completely healed up. If I were still smoking stinkies, it would have taken a month or more to get it healed this far.

I guess I missed this thread, but having now been brought to my attention I will just go ahead and add to it.

I've posted this before, but this seems like a good time and place to repeat it...

--When I was smoking I could hold my breath for around 30 seconds
--After 12 months of vaping I could hold my breath for around 90 seconds
--After 17 months of vaping I got a Pulmonary Function test and my results were slightly better than average
--After 30 months of vaping I could hold my breath for around 110 seconds

And just for fun, here is my aforementioned Pulmonary Function test results...

Please note that the FEV1/FVC ratio is considered the best measure of lung health.

Yes, a bit. After smoking heavily for 45 years and vaping for about a month now I can feel a little clearness. I still smoke about 4-5 a day but, the gurgley lungs when I lay down and the coughing jags til I feel like yaking have gone away.
I would like to add to your post by saying...

I smoked for 27 years, but never in that time did I exceed an average of around 7 cigarettes per day.
And I truly thought I was not experiencing any negative health effects from smoking that much.

But I was very wrong.
Because I was.

Good to hear peoples 'singing voices' have returned heh.. Maybe by the time we get around to doing our next 'album' Ill be able to yell and scream again without hacking up a lung in the middle of a line.. I actually had to SING the last one because I couldnt do my good old gravely growly voice anymore..
Maybe we need to put together a "Vaper's Choir" or something.
That could be something that might catch the attention of the haters and shut them up.

My road is long and convoluted. Had been smoking for 25ish years. Got down to 1/2 pack a day several years ago. Tried quitting numerous times might go for a month or two and the recidivism bug would bite me and there I was again, smoking. Five years ago I was "promoted" to an office job. It was nice for a while but after a few years I noticed a "slight" weight gain. The slight weight gain wasn't so slight anymore and new clothes made me look slimmer. Last Christmas I stepped up on the scales and tipped them over to 260. My blood pressure was hypertensive and I was a fat slob.
I broke out the mountain bike and started riding around the neighborhood. First time I rode 2 miles and almost puked. Worked on my bike some more got it running better, rode three miles and almost puked. Today I ride 30-40 miles a week and have lost 40 pounds. Yesterdays blood pressure reading was 110/70. Resting pulse is 68. Pulse after riding a hard section of trail is 130ish.
One month ago today I bought an e cig starter pack and a box of 12 mcg patches. Smoked the last cigarette in my pack and have not smoked since. My endurance is higher and I can ride faster and further than I thought I could. I am still looking to drop a few more pounds but I feel better now than I have in years.
Last Friday I was fed up with the e cigs. My daughter, 18, had purchased a PV. Toyed with it and now it resides somewhere in her room. I had plans to adopt it but she couldn't find it. I noticed a vape shop across the street from my bank. I had been in the shop a few days earlier to buy some juice. I had dismantled a cartridge and figured out how to refill it. I liked the owners and returned to do a little business with them. I stopped in, shopped and asked a few questions, then purchased a PV. The only thing I didn't get was any information on the components of my PV. I like it, my daughter said I have good components and didn't get robbed. The only brand I see is SMOK on the bottom of my battery, which is adjustable. I have a ten ml tank, wicks and a fairly nice machined mouthpiece. Other than that I am clueless as to the make up of my PV. I am presently using a 6 mcg cherry blend juice and no patches. Not sure if it is VG or not.
