I used to play all kinds of games. Usually MMOs. EQ was my game of choice for many years, and then I got into WOW, but quit that a couple of years ago. I didn't even know they were coming out with another FF.

Just wondering if anyone plays PC games and is a new or old school fan of Final Fantasy and are you getting FFXIV tomorrow?

Hey I know its off topic but I like to know if any fellow vapers are getting it! :p

Also we can play and vape together! :matrix: > > :vapor: > :toast: > :w00t:

Yep the newer FF online is coming out for collectors edition tomorrow and regular is the 28th I think. FFXI online has been out for 10 years so I was due time for a new one, and I enjoyed the XI due to the fact it is hard and complex, and so will this one because that is how SE makes them!

I use to play WOW, but I can make a 80 fully geared in 2-3 weeks, its to easy and boring, I think I made 5 accounts last year and sold each one between $300-500 each with like 4 80s on each account. You know extra cash while going to college/work. But anyways I can't stand WOW it's to "childish" if you ask me, if a 14 y/o can play it and I get banned for foul language then I don't want to play it lol. :p

Been playing tochlight some, duels of the planeswalkers (magic the gathring gme), puzzle quest 2, titan quest...waiting for diablo 3, torchlight 2 and another game that i found out about a month or two ago, by the former creators of titan quest, grim dawn.

I have played all kinds mostly RPG's or MMO's. I have been playing world of Warcraft for along time now. I am on a semi-break from it though. I have ten 80's and kinda bored. Hoping the new expansion will liven it up a bit. I am anxiously awaiting Diablo III and the new Star wars MMO!!!

Well the new expan for WOW is just a redone 1-50 area and the new 80-85, no new classes, so unless you want to reroll some thing you have already played the new 1-50 area is not great with no new classes.

I am also waiting for DIII and SW, but both of them I don't think have any release dates yet, and SC2 isn't enough for me, I need a full on MMO! Have you heard that lucas arts and other parts of SW divisions have started to have issues with how BioWare is doing the story line in the new SW online? I am hoping it is wrong, it's like they are making a 1 player game and a MMO in one.

No new classes but 2 new races to try. I haven't leveled a priest or a rogue to 80 yet, So I was thinking of making one of each out of the new classes, again just to liven it up.

Hadn't heard about any issues lucasarts had with bioware, I hope it's not true too. Bioware makes good games, I know this is their first at an MMO, but WOW was blizzards first attempt and look how that turned out, popularity wise anyway.

DIII doesnt have a release date as blizzards standard is "when it's ready'. However I believe SW is 2nd quarter 2011, March time frame from What I heard last.

Oldschool RPG fanatic here. From nethack to Moria roguelikes ....the Wizardry Series(long live Sirtech..may it rest in peace) and Might and Magic in the early days.....to the latest ElderScrolls, Fallout 3, Risen, 2 Worlds, Gothics, Witcher(great game!)

I hate subscription based monthly fees and have no use for multiplayer. If it comes to that I'd rather play nethack or ADOM.

Priest was one of my fav. classes, lvl up to 70 as shadow then get dual spec and do shadow/holy so you can do random dung. ques as both and keep lvling as shadow (shadow is by far one of the easiest specs in the game to lvl up, other then ret pally) My last rogue I was doing 10k dps in 25 man, they are so great as assassin with a little of both other talents added in at lvl 80, but are a pain to lvl due to squishy soloing.

Bioware makes some of the best games, but I don't agree with what I have read on how they are using the same feel from 1 player games in the making of a MMO, MMO should have a story but not a massive overlay where it overpowers the MMO portion, at least to me that is, but either way we will have to wait and see, I hope I get in the beta for it! Also lucas arts wanted there to be use of alien races but bioware said that they want it to relate more to people and in order for it to relate to people the players have to play people/human race, so they excluded races like Chewbacca's... I disagree with that, they just didn't want to make a background/story for them IMO.

I'm an old school fan of RPGs. FF lost its appeal to me once they left the nintendo platform. (Lol I still find myself saying Squaresoft) I never rly like playing the FF on PlayStation. However MMORPGs: WoW! I've played Runescape, Guild Wars and EQ but never liked any of them as much as I do WoW. I'm on Zul'jin and I have a lvl 80 Ret Pally with a 5700 GS. I can avg 7.5K - 8.5K dps in ICC 10 reg with peaks at 14K.
How on earth can you people have so many 80s completely geared out?! I've been playing for 2 yrs and have 1 lvl 80 and I still haven't geared her out! (Which by my standards is full ICC 25 heroic.)

How was Risen? I loved the Gothic series especially the first two of them. I know Risen was made by the same people who did those. Also there is a Gothic 4 coming end of october, but by different developers.

Haven't tried Risen yet, is it any good? Though I've heard if you didn't like the Gothic series then you probably wont like Risen and I didn't like Gothic at all, though never tried Gothic 2 or 3.

Gothic to me is an aquired taste. I started with Gothic 2 actually, and it took some getting used too on the controls, But I loved the story so much in it, I had to go back and play the first one. The story is engrossing and it gives you alot of freedom like elder Scrolls, its the control scheme that takes some getting used too.
