I preordered (around Xmas) a minithundervolt aka lavatube from a store in Portugal. The website said it would ship on Jan. 15. Well, its now the 26th and it hasn't shipped. I sent 3 messages to the store and got no response. My account keeps reading "pre-order in process". Anyone else order from them & have a different experience? Would I be wrong to complain to Paypal? Should I give them more time? I wonder if its shipped & not updated in my account? Not getting a reply at all worries me.

They're a legitimate business and I order stuff from them all the time. (One of the main suppliers in Portugal I'd say)
I'm absolutely sure there is no wrong doing by their part.

I also know joao, the owner had a car accident and was hospitalized until a few days ago AND is expecting the birth of a daughter (today, actually, I think)

Anyway, their deliveries and stock were affected, that I know, but I expect everything to get back to normal any time soon.

...

They're totally trustworthy. ...

Then it wouldn't seem that hard to have Someone send out an e-Mail explaining what the Status of the Mini-Lavatube is.

Right?

Possibly... Unless it's basically a one-man business, very well run actually (a lot of bigger stores are, in my humble opinion, much less trustworthy even though I'm not going to name any - I'm just thinking of names), and unless the owner had a car crash and had to stay in hospital for a while plus his daughter was born around the same time. And then, one must also take into account the customs and the times they decide to act like smartasses. I never had any complaint, quite on the contrary, and I still don't. I'd give the guy a break instead of freaking out since everything is coming back to normal. But I also happen to know that he left a post explaining at least the accident perhaps at the ukvapers forums or so, maybe in other places too, I'm not certain...

I'm just saying that 2Smok has to have Someone else besides Joao that can send out an e-Mail saying that shipments have been delayed or that Products didn't arrive from China on the date that they should have.

I understand the Real World. People get in Car Crashes and people have Babies.

But if you run a Company where you take people's money, you have to let those people know what is going on when you can't fulfill orders.

The Lavatubes where supposed to Ship on Jan. 15th. If they aren’t going to ship on the 15th, 2Smok has to let people know what is going on.

I think Most people here on the ECF are Pretty Forgiving when it comes to Products that are coming from China. OEM shipping delays and Customs can slow things down.

Throw in a Car Crash and a New Baby and things aren’t going to get out on time.

But if 2Smok can fill orders for e-liquids like was mentioned in the other thread then they can send out an e-Mail explaining what is going on. Or make a post in Their Mini-ThunderVolt thread.

People are forgiven when they know what is going on. Verses getting No Reply Day After Day.
