Anyone sanded the K100 empire clone down to the brass?

I scratched my locking ring and noticed brass under the chrome plating.

I was wondering if anyone has sanded all the silver parts of the K100 down to the brass.

I have the gold version so I don't think brass/gold would look all that great together. I am thinking about ordering the blue one now though because I think that a brass/blue would look amazing on this mod.

Anyone done it yet?>
