Edited to add: If you check that site they also offer the extension in stainless and "gun", which I can only think means "gun metal" or actually black chrome...
the ego 18650 mod tubes fit, but you need a longer spring or longer than usual 18650's, or a spacer of some sort..it ends up being a tad long..they do thread perfectly though..

Well, I'll be damned...I tried it and it does fit. Not sure about trying to rig it with 2 18650's though....it sounds like it could get ugly....it it even safe to do?

well stacking is not as safe as single.. stacking with a spacer adds more chances of something going bad..as long as the spacer is properly done I don't see a problem with it..xtar charger spacer might do the trick..i've been stacking li-ions in flashlights for years (2x18650 and 3x18650) and never had any issues..common sense wins the battle lol
i haven't heard back from VB, could I get a link to the 18650 ego mod tubes and perhaps a proper spacer? I don't have problems stacking two 18650's with a good spacer my instruction manual came with a photo illustrating the two 18650 stacked mode, that makes it OK, right? I mean, evryone knows if theres a picture of it it's a good to go...

Is this still an open topic?
I´m stacking 2x 18650 in half a dozen Vamos V2 and V3 chrome and stainless for half a year now, never had any problems, I just follow a few basic rules.
Use batteries always in pairs, buy them as a pair, mark them as a pair, never split them, charge them together in the same charger, never use them for anything else.
If you use old batteries together with new ones or fully charged ones together with empty ones, you will FOR SURE run into problems.
Button top grants good contact, but makes them about 2mm longer, gets tight in the tube, you have to squeeze the bottom cap of the Vamo a bit to close it, it does fit but only just so.
(Protected batteries are another 2mm longer and do not fit into the tube)
