I started vaping for fun no real intention to quit (maybe a little inclination, didnt really think it would work) and I started to really enjoy it and feel satisfied. I got down to 1 or 2 a day would even go some days with only a cig or 2. I got hooked on the vapor. I still smoke now but am going to really try to give up the analogs completely once my carton is gone. I really realized how much I enjoy vaping and how much it really works!

Yep, I still smoke some. Mostly I steal them from my employee LOL. He makes these cute little attempts to hide his cigs from me but I find them every time.

However I went from 50-60 smokes per day to between zero and maybe five. So the harm reduction is huge and I don't feel bad about it at all. I am a heavily, heavily addicted smoker, for 37 years, and quitting turns me into a psychotic, depressed, raging beyatch. Even on NRT like gum and patches. But now I feel basically like a non-smoker: no coughing any more, my sense of smell has returned big-time, I swear my complexion is looking better because of increased oxygen...I feel pretty darned good. :) And not one teensy weensy bit "guilty" about still smoking some.

I'm pretty happy with my X2s, and I hated my kGo. The trouble is twofold: now that my batteries don't die fast, I'm irritated how fast a carto vapes down. And when I put my fave juice (PrimeVaping's Natural Tobacco) into a clearo, I miss the leftover 555 flavor I got from refilling cartos.

So I'll probably order some 555 juice to mix with the Natural Tobacco until I find "my" juice(s), and I can see that I'm headed for either a Phoenix or a Phinac tank.

I only just GOT the X2 last week, only tried the clearo last night for the first time....the first 3 months were Blu disposables, GreenSmoke, Volt 65mm, kG0. I'll have some PIF stuff soon, after I've used the old stuff to try to convert family and friends.

Ive been looking at the X2s and the Clearos. How did the clearos work out for you? Im getting a pack of the blank Volt MAX Cartos. Hold similar similar quantities.

Hi welcome to ECF and congrats.
I put an order through SmokelessImage.com, having some problems and trying to get in contact with them to figure it out. Money was taken from account but I got no confirmation email, no receipt page, and nothing is on my accounts order history.
It could be because they had the 30% dicount sale on Sat. they're backed up. Post 5 times, wait 1 hr for the ECF servers to reset and contact them via the ECF Smokeless Image Forum. They may toss something extra in your package as their customer service is the best:
Smokeless Image
Also after you receive your Volt post your pic here for a freebie:

Good Luck and Happy Vaping.

Some great information here and great people too, this is a invaluable resource. Give vaping a honest try. Since you still get nicotine its easier to quit than you might think. The only thing else I can offer is to suggest some 24 mg or high strength juice. If you smoke menthol cigarettes get some menthol juice. You get the idea. A extra battery is a great idea too. The first few days were a little tough for me at stressful times but this has the very highest success rate of any "quit smoking" method I have yet to find. Your talking to a x menthol smokes of 25 years, I never thought I could actually quit. If you smoke a tobacco cigarette just go right back to vaping, don't beat yourself up over it. Habits don't form overnight and they don't stop overnight either. Just be patient and keep at it before you know it you be vaping with no desire to smoke. Then you can start stepping down your nicotine. And last let everyone know how your doing. New members here daily and it helps them to hear a true success story.

Started vaping, first day my nose bleed(old pv who someone left it the sun and got funky to say the least) 5th day over vaped lost my voice, two weeks into vaping went out for my first vaping in public experience and lit my leg on fire with my pv at a bar stool(kinda funny), first box mod 5v lost my voice for three days, first vv mod touched the power button caught on fire(well known mod actually not my fault, got a new one) Today is a better day to vape.Would like to get across its fun enjoy your new toy and never let a set back cause a problem.

Well, it hasn't been 24 hours yet. In the morning, I put the clearo on the batt without wiping it down on the bottom (it had been clean the night before) and NADA: it was all wet and shorting. Cleaned batt end and clearo end and it worked.

I have not had enough time to compare flavors for real, but first impression is I might have different juice prefs on a clearo.

I'd suggest buying 1 clearo to try, only about 6 bucks.

I've had a similar experience. I've had about 3 full analogs since getting my eGo-C kit about 3 weeks ago, but in the last 2 weeks I've been taking a few puffs and throwing the cigarette out in complete distaste bordering very closely on revulsion. It's....absolutely great!

Congrats. I think I will be the same way. I got all my the billing mess cleared up with SI. My Volt is on the way! Very grateful for that. I also purchased 4 bottles of juice (Vanilla Cola, Dr. Pepper, Mtn Dew, and Dragonblood) from ECblend. I am pretty excited. Shame that this holiday is going to push back the date that I can get my PV. :p

I was very skeptical at first thinking there's no way these will keep me from my Newports but sure enough for three days I did not have an analog. After buying 3 disposables I realized that I couldn't keep buying them so I got online and started looking for starter kits and yes I kept on smoking analogs until my kit came in but once I got started with my new kit I was off analogs and been off now for 2 weeks. I have had any cravings for analogs at all. Vaping takes some getting use to but its all worth it. Anyway good luck

I prefer the clearos to cartos. I tended to burn cartos because I wasn't checking my juice level. SI cartos are fantastic, I just suck at making sure they don't get dry. With the clearo, I can SEE the juice. Plus with the way I chain vape at times, I needed the longer battery life of the X2 vs. the small batteries. I still take my 78mms with jewel tips and a carto on them out to an event or something when I don't want to carry my bigger batteries.

Hey Bolt. Congrats on taking the first step to being cig-free.

When I started vaping, I was also still smoking, but significantly less. I was tracking my smoking very carefully, and I was around 18 cigs per day when I started vaping. I spent 2 months in the smoking/vaping transition period, but I was only smoking 4-6 cigs per day, which is IMO, a vast improvement. I then made the conscientious effort to quit the analogs completely, and after a few shaky days of vaping only, I broke on through to the other side.

I have seen quite a few people quit smoking the second they receive their PV in the mailbox. I hope that you are one of those, but if you are not, don't knock yourself for spending a little time in smoke-vape limbo land. This is a process, not an event.

I got a clearo for my X2's (love 'em!) in hopes of being able to qualify for one of those 'since my last cigarette' banners -- but I keep finding a drop of juice on my battery after awhile (like multiple times a day) -- it's driving me nuts! And one of my X2s is an automatic for vaping in the car -- am I going to ruin it?

What am I doing wrong? What are *you* doing right?

Complete honesty here, I do not really smoke anymore. But, when I say that, I mean in the 5 months I have been doing this, I have good and bad months. I actually keep a record of "if" I screw up and smoke. So, far I have had only 2 months at different times with no cigs. But the months I did screw up, was only about a few days in that month. And prolly only equaled 5 cigs total at the end of the month. Usually I blamed it on who I was hanging around with, or if I was out drinking and so on. But, coming from a pack and a half a day, I think that still says something about the invention of the e-cig (and I went cold turkey to these). It does still take some will power. What worked for me was going cold turkey and vaping like a crazy person on the e-cig for 2 weeks to get me over the hump. Every since then, if I have a cig, it almost makes me want to vomit! And at this point I do not believe I will ever slip again. Here's is why I say that. I finally figured out that it takes a big battery mod, variable voltage, with 24mg nic juice to keep me happy. Boge carto's and TVR juice at a 50/50 PG/VG mix for the perfect flavor and vapor production! I also sort of made this whole thing a hobby, where I could get excited about personalizing my PV with new drip tips, or shields and so on. I don't know, this worked for me. I think you could VERY EASILY quit smoking with these if you set it in your mind, become an enthusiast, and just seperate yourself from the analog world. Good luck!
