Is it just me or does anyone else have a flashlight sitting next to them at all times so they can see how soaked their wick is down inside their rda? My roomate always asks me why my insanely bright flashlight is going on and off all hours of the day. It's so dark down in my rda's especially my Igo-L that it's a must for me.

Why not just pull the cap off? I take the cap off to refill my drippers every single time. It's just as easy as taking the tip off, and you know exactly how much to put in. Never too much, never too little.

Agreed, I do the same thing, also I think I might not properly wick both of my coils through the drip tip hole.

Why not wire in a white LED (with resistor) that sits above your wick, and to the side (so you don't drip on it)?

LEDs aren't particularly fond of heat. Other than that, having to fire the mod in order to light the LED sounds impractical, and the vapor will certainly obscure the wick. Some people might also dislike the idea of letting their juice soak miscellaneous electronic components. If that's not a problem for you, go for it. (But if you're going to solder the resistor to the LED, at least use lead free solder.). :)

I've seen pictures of attys with LEDs, and it the visual effect is nice if you're into that sort of thing.

YES! All the time. I check on liquid and if the coil is gunking up. Sure I can taste when it's dry, but I prefer to refill before that point.
