Anyone use the ego CE5 clear tanks?

trying to clean out a awful coffee flavor from the unit.
I take off the mouth piece, unscrew the airshaft/coil/wick assembly.
Can I soak the coil/wick assembly?
and just let it air dry well before reuse?
I think I am going to order extras of this part.

You can dry burn the wick and re-rinse to possibly clean the goo out of the wick/coil, the coil pack are also easily rebuildable (not just replaceable)
