I used this super concentrated cherry from vaping zone to make 30 ml of Cherry ejuice. It recommends 2.5% . I used 3.7% because I like strong flavor. I also added 10% Cotton Candy as sweetener but it doesn't even have a cherry taste. I made it 20 mg nicotine. It tastes weird. This is my 1st experience with DIY and I'm disappointed. I can tell it's not that easy to make your own eliquid or everyone would do it. I made it last night and tried it and instead of adding more flavor I have it steeping with lid off. Does anyone know the right percentage I should add? Did I add too much that I ruined it? Can I salvage it or do I need to toss it and start over? I'm looking for a good cherry vape so if anyone has a good recipe and can tell me where to get the flavor from I would appreciate it. Thanks, Cindy

Okay, I have used VZ cherry super concentrate along with a hoard of countless other cherry flavorings I have given away or been so disgusted with Ive thrown em straight in the trash. VZ cherry is salvageable at best as far as cherry goes. 5% is the max you can as a standalone flavor. Dont bother going higher, it will sadly get even weaker in flavor.

For your first time out Id have urged you to mix anything BUT cherry. Ive been at this over two years and have yet to find ANY good or.worthy cherry flavoring by any known, or even unknown manufacturer. My grail for cherry is a jolly rancher type cherry flavoring. Even a ludens type cherry would suffice. Sadly, there are none, zip, zero, zilch, nada. You might find one that doesnt taste like cough medicine but then it is weaksauce flavor wise at any concentration. Cherry is the one flavoring that is my nemesis. Dont suggest any, Ive tried all you can think of and ones you cant, mixing ideas galore, they all just plain fail and fail badly.

In short, its not you. Its the product.

Now if you want vz cherry to work at all, lose the sweetener, it always makes flavors go flat and weak within 3 days. If you absolutely have to use sweetener only mix enough to last a couple days. I suggest 5%-6% max flavoring. Any more will not improve it or make it stronger.

Another note: 10% ethyl maltol is a ton of sweetener. There is cotton candy flavoring and cotton candy that is ethyl maltol. EM is the one commonly used to sweeten a little bit. Going full out 10% will kill flavor in any juice. EM is used more to round out sharp or harsh flavor notes in juices, and in minute amounts. It really doesnt make for a good sweetener, but that result is best between 1%-2% tops in my opinion. But remember it will dull flavoring within days in any amount.

And do not leave the cap off with fruits unless they smell of chemical overtones. If so, 12 hours max. It will not improve beyond that. Vz cherry does not have that chemical overtone so leave the caps on or it will just get weaker.

Ok so I guess I will stick to my Aqua Vapor Cherry and forget trying to make a cherry eliquid. I have Blueberry super concentrated that I will try next at 2.5% with nothing else and see how that turns out. Thanks so much for your advice. I didn't know I shouldn't steep fruit Ejuices with the lids off so I'm glad you told me. Your post was very helpful. Thank you so much.

The best one for me was inawera cherry wiznia but it is so weak flavor wise at any concentration I just cant use it. The flavor profile is like a ludens but its weaksauce in the flavor department.

I like that one as well. It is better (not great) mixed with Inawera WG Cherry.

I would think the 10% cotton candy killed it (overkill),Pretty sure most people use a very small amount To sweeten,I always did when I used it.

I've used VZ super concentrates since they hit the market. I've not found one that needs additional sweetener. Without a doubt the cotton candy muted the flavor, it's a great tool when working with tobaccos. As buffaloguy says the cherry's are a tough one from any manufacture. VZ's cherry is a nice light flavor and not a heavy candy type. Stick with the recommended 2.5% to start and work up to as much as 4% if using all VG.

Blueberry will be another light flavor it's just the nature of the blueberry flavor. If your looking for a bold fruit try something that is naturally full flavored like a citrus, Apricot or Blackberry it is a great bold vape.
