I just got my AnyVape Davide BDC, and so far these are my initial thoughts on it.
Pros:
1. Dual coil works really well, produces LOTS of vapor
2. Pyrex tank
3. Can be converted to use Protank 2 single coils, need to remove extension ring and tube grommet (small, don't lose it)
4. Base is interchangeable with Protank 2
5. Uses Aspire BDC coils, readily available
6. Cheaper than Protank 2 and 3
Cons:
1. Drinks a LOT of juice
2. Flavors not much (if any) better than Protank 2
3. Battery life diminished (from upping power to feed dual coil heads)
4. Fit and finish doesn't seem to be quite as good as Protank 2, but not horrible
5. BDC replacement coils are a little more expensive than Protank 2 single coils
6. Uses Aspire BDC coils, also more expensive then Kanger Protank 3 dual coils
So far, I like it a lot. My biggest issue is that it eats a lot more juice than my Protanks, but with a dual coil, that is to be expected. I don't see much of a change in the flavor of the juice, either good or bad. I did experiment with taking out the center "extension ring" and using a Kanger PT2 head in it. It worked flawlessly for the few minutes I was testing. I suspect it will work fine over the long run as well. This makes it much more versatile, if I run out of BDC heads for it, I can always use it in single mode with a rebuilt PT 2 coil.
I picked this up on a sale as it was cheaper than the Protank 2 or 3. It was the same price as the AnyVape Davide single coil, and I wanted a dual coil to try, so why not? I do wish there were an option to use Protank 3 dual coil heads instead of the Aspires, but only because they are a little more cost effective. The Aspire 5 pack seems to run around $10 while the Kanger 5 pack seems to be around $7, so not horrible. I don't know if the heads can be easily rebuilt or not, haven't looked into it yet, but I hope so!
If anyone has other thoughts on it, I am definitely interested in hearing them!
Anyway, as always ... YMMV!
